Interesting regarding Rose Bowl and CFP Expansion

I mean the actual Rose Bowl, not Steve Robertson:

With the Pac-12 somewhat imploding, the Rose Bowl has to see tradition (and its stranglehold on the rest of the CFP) is dying, right?

I don't think the Big Ten and the Pac-12 are going to be able (or willing) to bail them out this time. They'll end up being the west coast version of the Citrus Bowl.

The Rose Bowl is in real danger of being marginalized. They have to recognize that their position isn't what it was because of USC and UCLA bolting the PAC, and the playoff in general.

I heard someone say that the rose bowl should be the champ game every year. I wanted to tell them that's the dumbest idea I've heard. Yes it's historical but outdated and unfair to Midwest and SEC since most of the teams making the playoff aren't from the west coast.
Some great games have been played there but it needs some work
