So, basically, in odd years, we'd be in the SEC East plus Ole Miss and Auburn.

Can you imagine not having to face Bama, LUS, or rKansas in any given year? Hell, merlinz could possibly pull a ten-er out of that weak *** sched.

I like the idea of it. Home / Away concepts could get jacked.

I'm assuming everyone would want to alternate home and away each time you faced an opponent. If that's true, you will have some unbalanced years of home and away games. The first two years would be balanced 4 home and 4 away. Then, if you kept the alternating site concept, you would have two years of 5 and 3, depending on your year 1 setup. If we want to preserve the 4 / 4 balance, then there will have to be repeats of home and away sites.

The only issue for MSU in that is that most would say our 3 biggest football rivalries traditionally are in order OM, AL and LSU. 2 of those 3 would be lost as annual games but given how good those 2 teams have been over the past 10-15 years that is probably a good thing.

The guy that put that together didn't put much thought into secondary rivalries. I'm pretty sure it the SEC ever went to that format, at least 2 out of UM, Bama and LSU would be permanent opponents for us.

Dear 8lb 6oz baby Jesus please let us drop Bama and LSU from our schedule until they become mediocre again.
