Over the last five years, the SEC has won 10 of the 20 possible national championships in the four major sports (FB, MBK, WBK, BSB). In fact, the SEC is 10-1 in national championship games in these sports over the last five year (Georgia lost to Fresno State in baseball)

Conversely, the five years prior, the SEC could only claim LSU's shared national championship in football (2003) as the only major championship. (Big East won eight)

The five years before that? The SEC won 10 of 20.

If this thing works in cycles, the SEC is about to go into a five year drought.

in 5 years where we win 10 out of 20. Football it is realistic that we could match the succes and win the majority of the titles especially while Alabama and UF are stacked from top to bottom and most of the league's schools are head and shoulder above the majority of the country. In baseball the SEC could easily win its fair share of titles because just like football the talent in the league is incredible. In men's basketball I just don't think we could repeat the two titles we claimed in that time span. UF was stacked for two years and since then the league has been in another drought. UK(Calipari) is the key to the SEC reclaiming the men's title again but they will have to do some serious stockpiling to make some noise. Women's I know nothing about nor do I care....
