You must be joking..... I guess your liberal friends have not made you aware that the big push now is to UNDAM rivers.

The people pushing to undam rivers are not liberals, they are not conservatives either, they are comprised of a variety of people. The one thing they have in common is that they clearly don't understand that a lot of development downstream of dams has occurred as a result of the dam being there. It would be a foolish move to take out any dam. You can just about guarantee the US's dam building days are over.

Rising sea levels, has that ever happened before? Has there ever been ice ages? 20,000 years ago Chicago was under a mile of ice, might be a good thing now. Was it a good thing that we warmed? Weather changes and it's henny penny who thinks that we are the cause and that we can effect a significant change.

Basically the US spends as much on gasoline...buying it...in a week as the US spends on energy research in a year. So we spend 50 times as much buying gas as we do on figuring out a way to not need gas or need it less.
