there were ~15K more fans at the msu/uf (football) game than the usa/uk game. WTF, i thought these stadiums held a bagillion rioting soccer fans and england had the biggest following of all fans save s. africa. That aside, way to go US, extra orange slices are in order. I bet Green, the UK GK, feels like tyson lee did afterthe failed GL attempts in the last minute of the lsu game.

dang, preseason can't get here soon enough.

than Scott Field. Also the distance and the economy has hurt international ticket sales. FIFA had to release alot more tickets for local sale than they normally do. South Africa may have made PC sense but economically it reamains to be seen.

WhileI loved the result you have tofeel at least a bit sorryfor the UK keeper. He is a 30 year old getting his first real shot at the really big time. He just became Bill Buckner.

uk is not england

uk is england, scotland, wales, and northern ireland and all 4 of them have separate soccer teams. in the olympics, they all compete as uk though.

so we're even more clear, britain is not england either. britain is the uk minus northern ireland.

English fans got there early to ring the stadium in their flags and of course every English fan is required to wave a flag in the stands, per the Queen.

of the tickets sold through the national associations/fifa. not necessarily a reflection of the actual attendance.

I know South Africa is fairly modern, especially when compared to say Somalia. But, it's a continent with a ton of third world countries that make it up. You can't expect them to be build Cowboys Stadium II.
