I won't lie, in his limited action, MW looked to me like the best back running the ball

We knew some would leave, given the number of RBs on the roster...MW may go, Taylor seems like he could go. Next year it's Newby, Ozigbo and Stevenson if all that plays out....sigh

Sounds like Wilbon has been a bit of a cancer on the team along with getting into some trouble. Might not be a bad thing to part ways. Fresh start might also do him well. If nothing else this staff has proven that they can recruit so I have no doubt that they can find some good replacements. I am to the point that if the players are buying what the coaches are selling then that player can GTFO. Tired of selfish players who put themselves before the team. We need more people who put the team first.

Not sure this would necessarily mean anything in October. Some of you guys need to just stop it with analyzing everything these kids do on twitter like it's definitely a coded message.

Unless he's off the team, I see zero reason why he's in any position to make a "next move" on Oct 27 as it pertains to football. His classes won't be done til December, so I don't think he's going anywhere right now.

We can only hope to the sweet baby Jesus that it somehow means he's gonna start on Saturday.

Care to elaborate? How a cancer?

What if he's saying he's trying to move up the depth chart? So many pessimists any time a dude tweets.

Things can change fast...but I think you should prepare yourself for him to move on after the season. I think the writing is on the wall for him. Not all that concerned about the RB position long term...I think Ozigbo and Stevenson will turn out to be a really solid 1-2 punch.

That would be great and I hope you're right. I guess if that's the case he got me when he used the word "gone". But I admit I don't tweet, & find all that to be silly to be honest.

Gone in this tweet = go-nn, as in "going to be". This isn't the da Vinci code, everything doesn't have a hidden meaning. Could, might not, really no need to even think about it until something actually happens.

Thanks skerburger, I guess we can just close this thread down now. No need to speculate any more.

I think all you guys are posting the "cancer" stuff should consider refraining from passing judgement until we're sure we know what's going on. Not fair to the kid.

I don't always overreact but when I do ... OMFGWTFROFLMAO but seriously we are all gonna die!!!!11!!!11111!!!!one111

If he's transferring, good luck to him. If he's not transferring, good luck to him. I wish him the best either way. We've got a litany of problems and 85 scholarships to fill with talented players who want to be here. I'll assume he's one of the talented young men who want to be here until I see something more official than a random tweet which doesn't show ANY indication of a desire to leave. In fact, I've heard stories about people using twitter to repeat lyrics to popular songs. I'm sure that's not the case here because we don't do reasonable and we don't do logic.

Sounds like you pass along rumors, analyze people you don't know, and jump to conclusions very quickly, all while displaying stupefying certainty.

Well either way, i do get the feeling hes going to bounce out after the seasons over with. Bad part, he looks dam good running the ball, if he does bail, hopefully its out if the Big 10. Id rather not get burned by him in Saturdays. Our defense don't need a back going against us with moves like Abdullah.

I'm sick of seeing posters who say things about cancer or off the field issues without actually knowing. You don't know crap, you only speculate and I'm guessing it's because you are hopeful Riley isn't too stupid to notice this kids talent compared to newbys, so hopeful in fact that would would rather smear a kids reputation to protect a coach. If he actually has issues off the field then post exactly what they are and who you heard them from, otherwise stop puking up garbage you read from some other poster or speculating. Fact is this player should be playing and until we hear otherwise this staff is dropping the ball.
(O line sucks too I know).

Wait a minute!!! Wilbon has cancer???? This is the first I am hearing of this. No wonder he is not playing!!!! Prayers!
Stop speculating on everything. They said he is a cancer, meaning a singular piece of cancer. He is one big and talented, tumor of cancer.

So its okay for you to guess? The FACT is that there is obviously something keeping him off the field after he played early in the season. It doesn't appear to be his talent level and it IS quite clear that there is something else going on with him. We heard early this season from a reliable poster that some of the roster weren't taking care of business off the field and in the classroom and that as long as that was the case they wouldn't play.

I'd seen on Huskermax some time ago it was posted that Wilbon burned many bridges with the staff. May nor may not be true, but thought I'd throw it out there. SSO was the originator of that comment I believe, and he has a pretty good track record.

He also retweeted "Took some L's this year. 2016 goin be different tho!"

That doesn't sound like he's leaving. Also the post some of you are claiming is him leaving includes a picture of him running the football in his NU uniform. Why would he do that if he was about to leave the Huskers?

Because its more reliable than wild speculation, from a guy who generally dispenses good insider knowledge.

I'm just saying you don't have to believe its the Bible if you don't want to.

I understand where you are coming from but I wonder if it would be OK if people said things about us by getting the information this way? I think not.

I believe the point here is trash the kids name and making him look bad may not be the way to go, just incase its false. Theres nothing worse then making someone look bad and then come to find out its completely off based.

I agree, its obvious the kid is more talented then probably the main 3 backs that mainly play, possibly better then Newby. So theres obviously something going on here keeping him off the field and i can't see it being soley pass protection doing it. But i won't guess out loud just incase its false so it don't wound the pour kids name and rep. We all grew up in high schools and seen how rumors spread like wild fires in a forest.
