BP is within 12 hours or so of attempting to set one of the caps on the pipe. May even happen before we lay down for bed tonight.

I know its hard to answer any questions as the rov moves around looking at different things
but was wondering what its been focusing on for the last 5 minutes or so..it looks like one of the caps
but it has some sort of stuff coming out the top right now but doesnt look like oil. It was too light colored to be oil and seemed to be following a pipe up.

But remember that the caps that are being tried now have hoses connected to them that will allow hot water and methanol to be pumped down them from surface to alleviate the hydrates issue. You may have been seeing something like that... but I'm not 100% sure.

It is one of the caps looks like..got a spray painted 4 on the side and they look to be working to attach a hose or something to it now..I think they were pumping hot water or something down into it or something was was coming out of the open hole and causing what I saw...

....saw the same same cap. Had blue hoses attached to it which I assume is where they're shooting stuff in to prevent ice. Also saw robots moving hoses around in and out of certain position. And that #4, well that's a LOST number.

I hope they were already injecting methanol as they lowered it down. It's just pouring out the bottom right now. I hope it isn't frozen already!!

to produce like this... otherwise they aren't financial viable options for exploration.

Yes. The pressure varies from well to well, but they all have thousands of PSI. This looks like it would have been one hell of a well to produce though.

It was interesting at first to watch them ready the cap and such
but now watching them dangle it around and seemingly not being able to get it to work is just downright depressing.
