Week six scores

Sycamore defeats Morris 35-6
Two very stout teams Unfortunately sycamore came out ahead and looks to be the interstate 8 conference champion unless something totally crazy happens

LaSalle Peru defeats Ottawa 35-14
LaSalle Peru has a tough team and is now playoff eligible for the first time in a while but I must give Ottawa some credit they played extremely hard And actually were leading going into halftime

Kaneland defeats Plano 49-0
Not surprised at all reapers can’t keep up with Joe Smith and the air assault to Gagne and company

Rochelle defeats sandwich 42-28
Hubs came to play after getting whipped by Kaneland The week prior . Sandwich had plenty of offense to get the job done , but mistakes and lack of defense cost The Indians in the end .


Week 7 has a couple great matchup’s the war on 34 is this week LaSalle Peru battles for control of I 80

Sandwich at Plano
An old time rivalry game to evenly matched teams this game truly could go either way records go out the door whoever is going to be able to manage the weather will come out on top
I am hoping Sandwich 21-Plano 14

Morris at LaSalle Peru
This is going to be a close game Morris has a great offense piloted by Reddinger and The Redskins are hungry after a loss last week but LaSalle Peru‘s line is on a roll this is another game that could go either way.
I’m saying morris wins with a Reddinger two minute drill score in the 4th


Ottawa at kaneland
BOOM-POW-BANG
Kaneland over Ottawa 42-0 enough said

Rochelle at sycamore
With Rochelle‘s main running back getting hurt last week not sure if he returns this week or not he seemed pretty darn banged up I see the Spartans taking advantage of a secondary that has a tough time defending the pass this game should be By the end of the first-quarter

I guess I’m all in now on here so I’ll make some predictions.

Sandwich 34 Plano 20
Kaneland 56 Ottawa 0
Sycamore 49 Rochelle 0
Morris 38 LP 12

I may be a bit optimistic in the last one. But since Coalertown44 picked CC 100-0 over Morris, I feel entitled to optimism.

Sycamore is pretty darn good. I wouldn't be surprised if you see them in the semis as long as they stay healthy .

I find it hard to beleive Rochelle won pretty handily against Sandwich but that's how it looked. Congrats to Coleman making the FND Team. At least his efforts did not get lost in the results.

LP over Ottawa......saw it was close for a while. Better team won in the end.

Kaneland over Plano..it was over quick.

Looks like Kaneland and Morris will battle it out for 2nd place next Friday. Sycamore undefeated in conference play and Lasalle has Sycamore and Kaneland final 2 weeks.

Ottawa game got ugly really quick. 2 pick 6s in the first half.. And then another in the third quarter.. I was surprised to see the score of the Morris LP game. Those are Kanelands last two games and im really looking forward to the Morris game. Anyone know the Morris vs. Kanelands outcomes in the past. As far as I know they've play the each other at least five six times

Oh,many more than 5 or 6 times...Kaneland has held upper hand most games in last 8 years or more maybe. Remember that Morris and Kaneland were members of the Little seven for about 10-12 years and then the Suburban Prairie Conference till they joined the NIBXXI(then XXI-2) and now Interstate 8.Morris won more in the earlier years.

It looks to be a good game and I hope it lives up to it.Maybe Nit92 can fill us in as too last nights game...I do know that while driving last night I caught the game on radio early in 1st half and I think a turnover by Morris stopped 1 drive and I think a penalty stopped another.

Also Nit92...any word on the LP QB?? Heard game was stopped for a bit due to his injury.

Morris just looked flat. Moved the ball a bit in the first half, just missed on a long TD pass in the first. Just very sluggish. Got their 5th win but will need to improve quickly or it won’t be good next week. LP is not bad on defense, didn’t really threaten offensively. Without knowing specifics on the injury, I don’t want to speculate but I’ve heard very positive news.

Ok, I did not realize the game had been played.. and yes I am wrong LP did not beat morris lol! I am not a LP player, parent, or fan, but the program has been much improved this year and looks to be building a solid program after many yrs of being bad to avg at best.

The D is real nasty, but getting blanked by morris, guess they have room to grow on O. Stay tuned on the Cavs, I still see upsets in the future for them with that D.

I'm with you on much improved. And big congrats on getting in the playoffs. How's your freshman team looking and also the future of the program?

Also, I'm glad you guys are coming here to play and us not there. I want to say it's about a hour 20 minute drive from Elburn. Makes it hard to get there on time for freshman game... I'm sure we'll be there next year though. Heard you have a awesome venue for a game.

Gags, I’m not involved or a fan specifically of LP, so honestly I don’t know know how the Fresh team looks (I don’t put stock into underclassman teams regardless), but from afar, I like the coaches attitude to bring a physicality to the program on the varsity squad. The team looks to be heading in the right direction.

On venue, I played there in JR tackle and LP has a very nice stadium.. I’ve heard they are looking at putting in turf as many teams/schools have been looking at doing.

Lp’s stadium is the BEST! No question. Built during the Great Depression nostalgia at its finest could be the coolest in the whole state.
And there planning on adding turf once they raise the money... I kind of like grass in that setting but I get it for sure...

Their Freshmen team is the cheapest, dirtiest we have come across ever. My son got get stomped on because apparently he scores too much, and some reported questionable comments by a few of their players. All while getting beat.

Oh boy...we got some pretty rowdy rambunctious freshman parents. I'll tell the boys next week. By the way, are there visitor stands or is everybody on one side because that will get real ugly I can guarantee it especially being the last game of the year

Not competitive on the field, but if there was a competition for off field craziness they would win hands down. Sending threatening Snapchats to there opposition having bonfires with oppositions mascot on top. Then losing the game driving out to the field of there opponents and tagging(spray painting) mascot type items........ that’s planos gameplan. Real class acts lol

It did get a little out of hand this last weekend for sure. Kids..... what do ya do
Honestly we should of put our sprit chair in the end zone lord knows they wouldn’t find it there lolhahahahahaha
