I have comcast at my house and know I get the game. I have been invited to a cookout and such on Saturday, and I asked the guy what service he had...Direct TV. Now, I know that when we had direct tv growing up you had to have the antenna to pick up the JP/Raycom games for the local feeds. Will they show our game on direct tv or does he need some kind of local cbs channel? If so, what channel? Thanks!

Otherwise, I couldn't tell you (too lazy to look further than the email DirecTv sent me with the Gameplan schedule).

I am in the Memphis market and it is on 30. If you are in the Tupelo market is should be on WCBI.

ok, so you hold the remote, press the #1 button quickly followed by the #2 button, then enter. it will change that nifty thing on over to channel 12. where the game will be on that screen in front of you. its the freaking 11:30 game on CBS. if that doesn't work, i would suggest an antenna and a bunch of aluminum foil.

To fasten, take the little end and stick it in the big end and... you
know what? If you guys don't know how to use a seatbelt, just ring your
call button and Tommy will come back there and hit you on the head with a
tack hammer because you're a *retard*

i cant press the 17'n remote because it isnt at my house. I just remember growing up that we had to switch the dish over to antenna to watch the local CBS/JP games. I know he doesnt have an antenna and not sure if you even have to do that anymore. THAT is what i was asking. Ive had comcast since I left home in 98.

I believe channel 12. Direct TV gets the "local" channels.

See lookie there, information without ************ or any other type ofridiculous responses.

what market you are in, the local channels won't be in HD. I'll be hooking up the el-cheapo HD tailgating antenna to get WCBI in HD in Starkville tomorrow.

So long as the owner gets the local TV package you can see the game in HD. I would be surprised if anyone that had only DTV would not get the local stations. Heck, I am not certain you don't get them automatically now, but years ago you had to pay a small monthly fee to get them.

Call and ask the guy if he gets channel 12. If yes, you are good to go. If no, stay at home because you got a last minute , er - stomach ache.
