Drake and Patrick need to do their job, go out and take care of business.

Bailey and Williams... just ridiculous, what a disappointment these two have been.

Agree. Bailey and Williams have wrestled the last 2 or 3 matches like they want to be anywhere but on the mat. If so, there is a simple fix for that. Will Estrada be back for the SS? Who does Iowa have behind Bailey? I replace them both at this point and let them try to win the spot back at the Soldier Salute.
ISU has slowly and quietly built a good team for themselves this year. Congrats to them and it is good for the sport to have this match be a big deal and have upsets and excitement.

Let the 26 year old Cuban clear out of the weight class. Ben will be just fine IF he sticks with wrestling. The jump back to football next season would make no sense.
Having sat with it all night...it still sucks.
That said, it was always a tough match up, but Iowa still should have won...Drake and PK were the letdowns, not the Little Rock guys who were both underdogs. Also, I don't get the hatred on WIlliams for not trying. The end of match brainfart that cost a team point? Yes. But in the match itself, he was out there throwing a bunch of moves and trying to score, he just got outscrambled. Bailey...not so much. The dual was lost by Ayala and Kennedy, though, and I think they would tell you the same.
This team also just beat Okie State while giving up 6 free points at HWT.
In the end, ISU was the better dual team yesterday, tough as that is to hear. I do think the program is a little stale. If I had my druthers, I think I would shift Morningstar over to a recruiting-only role, and move on from Telford, and bring in two younger on-mat assistants with a variety of skills to broaden our horizons. The little guys where Tom and Terry specialize are always good. I don't think there's a David Taylor-type candidate out there that you could bring in to replace Tom/Terry right now, nor do I think that's necessarily warranted to move on from Tom/Terry. I do think change can be good.

That guy Ferrari wrestled is know for his defense, and he had no intention of doing anything but defense in that match to not get bonused, and it worked. Surprisingly Ferrari got in deep a few times considering the guy was just waiting for him.
While I absolutely don't want to hype up carter starocci for a number of (very obvious) reasons the guy had an 83% bonus rate over his collegiate career with 86 bonus wins in 104 matches. He kept it close vs the very best guys but that wasn't his usual routine (like stealing watches and raping freshman was)
He had a 61% bonus rate for his career per wrestlestat. And 25% his redshirt freshman season.
You could be correct, I used AI to look that statistic up and it has been wrong on wrestling stats before
Wrestlestat.com is extremely easy to use and even more accurate. I would recommend using it for any/all (already achieved) wrestling stats.

All of the parties involved or who should have stepped up and done something are long gone, fines paid, sanctions levied, criminally convicted, bans served... All of which doesn't heal the victims that is for sure.

It seems like the plan for Kueter's improvement for some is to just let the weight class clear like last year. I wish PSU would have applied that plan with Kerkvliet /Cassioppi. It's past time that Kueter gets better. First step would be to take a shot per match. Stop the AA talk from last year and watch the Luffman and Heindselman matches.
He was off the mat for months most improvement happens in the offseason . He's obviously not 100% and that why he's not shooting.

Typical PSU programa mantra from the casual fan all the way up to the top of the school. Try to bury all the crap about your football coaches and their escapade with little boys. Try to bury all the crap about your hot shot wrestler being weird with other teammates. Glad you're okay with that. Carry on... which PSU is happy to do it seems.

Yep, something is up as he has 0.0 confidence right now. Likely wont know until after NCAAs what that is. I would have to think its something that will keep him out of spring ball too. Hope I am wrong and its something that can heal itself by mid Jan but Ive gien up thinking any luck goes the way of this program anymore. Just a dark cloud hanging over for some reason.
At the end of the day they were a better team on that day. Long way until March. We have to be looking in portal for next year at certain weights until these young guns hit Iowa City. Baily and Williams are huge disappointments (so far).

Most of those stories came from one person and of course you would believe them you are an iowa fan lmfao as for the sandusky story you keep going there because you are angry that your team is losing. Hawk fans might not go there if PSU posters came in good faith to discuss wrestling. Instead, they come in waves to troll and take cheap shots. It was incredibly predictable that a bunch would show up right after the ISU dual. How about we all try and be a little better

That's so cute... I love how you try so hard. Keep on sticking up for the perpetrators, I'm sure the victims wouldn't have any problem with it. After all, it's such a FUN program...I understand what you mean and i for one moved away from running to someone elses board to rub in a loss regardless of who it is. And i understand why people respond with sandusky ****. I dont agree but hurt people hurt people and thats the way it goes. In any event i enjoy the wrestling talk on all boards and look forward to the dual with iowa.
