He probably grew up watching Bo hush the crowd at Carver after spladling Sammy Brooks. This was like the Temu version of that.
Over the years I heard various Hawkeye posters talking crap about Bo, how that was class with etc. Now Bo said they were cussing at him but who cares?

He stuck their guy in under a minute. Ferrari what a 2 to 1 match on a stall call that gave us the directors cut with added footage after that resounding victory . 😂😂😂

Ferrari again wins a match in which he had no takedowns.

Ferrari does not look like a national champ to me, he definitely has the ability tho

He was growing the sport on National TV.

Cut him some slack, I just got back from 5 pm mass at church and on this Sunday Ferrari did more kneeling than me.

For those posting about the ref, a reminder that in college, a number of the rules on stalling have been tweaked/modified so that a lot of situations are mandatory calls. This is not what many people grew up with, or wrestled under, in youth or high school (or coached under).

I thought the mandatory calls were correct. The subjective ones (basically, not enough action), seemed legit. The ref was active throughout the match in calling that, so I can't fault him for any of the calls he made in that regard late in the match. Dean is a great defensive wrestler (how he avoided a few of Ferrari's TD attempts was amazing). But if you don't initiate action (i.e., shoot from neutral), and your opponent repeatedly does (as did Ferrari), you're going to be hit with stalling, even if the signal is given while you're attempting a counter.
Keep the stall calls coming.

He’s claiming it was “misinterpreted”
I don’t know the guy personally, but that was a pretty stupid thing to post on a public wrestling message board. There are a lot of black wrestlers who we admire and root for. His post was just as insulting to them as it was to the Iowa guys he had in mind. That’s certainly not a good way to earn the respect of the other people posting here.

Peterson + Bailey + Williams + Endene = 1 TD

I'm just wondering if money bags Bob considers that good ROI.
When I see old video's of the Brands wrestling, they scored points. Sure the clubbed and pushed, but they scored. John Smith was the same way, yet he had a ton of guys who were happy winning with one takedown or an escape and rideout.

While I enjoyed the event today, lots of talented kids........when I look at it through the lens of someone who was channel flipping, would they stay at watch? Sure, Rock helped. The atmosphere was great for a foot of snow on the ground.

Yeah, you don't need to go there.

Wow they are nuts.

"If Arnold wins h2h and against Haines, you guys would have to be complete morans to not want him to be the starter. Thankfully none of you are making the decision.

"Book it".

Kennedy is one of 2 Hawks that actually wrestle, and they want to replace him with a guy who is offensively challenged.

The Iowa style is so ingrained in their DNA that they think 2-1 matches are the norm.

The better post was a little further down, claiming Iowa should start Arnold because PSU's coaches would fear that decision.

News flash to the single-cell HR brain trust: Cael focuses on what he can control (his team's effort) and doesn't worry about what he can't (the opponent's lineup).
