Wow is right. That was really close. Live, I thought Fishback had the takedown. On review, I'm not so sure. Wow, they gave it to him.

Close call here . But I think you gotta go with what was called on the mat

By the hour!Reaction time changed by the month.
Yep that match will determine the dual. Was close don't let it come down to the refsThere is nothing that I hate more than officials reviewing their own calls. Now, in this case, he actually over-turned it, but, I truly question if he does that if this match was in Iowa. It was extremely close, so, I actually agree that, in that case, you stick with the call on the mat.
Ha, yeah, PJ Duke might like a word about that.Reaction time changed by the month.

I got nothing for Gabe. Initiate some offense.Huge call. Ballsy to switch what was called on the mat. I think they likely got it right though. I feel for Gabe
No of the gabe match

What is going on with college wrestling?! Minny beats Iowa and then loses to Rutgers. Are we in the twilight zone?Thank. R U Crackers?
It matters not who wins that match. What is important to both Rutgers and Minnesota is that we all know and acknowledge, combined Rutgers, Minnesota and Penn State have won 12 of the 14 past NCAA championships.Rutgers beats Minnesota it's 23-12 at HWT
Arnold with virtually no real shots multiple just not to get stall warningBallsy imagine the fans if it was rightfully upheld
Im shocked they gave that to OSU. But you are right. It was probably the right call. Im guessing no way that gets flipped in Carver.Huge call. Ballsy to switch what was called on the mat. I think they likely got it right though. I feel for Gabe

Iowa or OSU is the sameIm shocked they gave that to OSU. But you are right. It was probably the right call. Im guessing no way that gets flipped in Carver.

We had a guy like that. His name was Mason Manville. Only difference is wrestled the (close) matches without the mouth.Believe it or not, but I actually feel a little bad for Arnold. He didn’t do himself any favors by calling out Starocci, but he’s done everything possible to try to fit into the Iowa lineup and he goes at whatever weight he is needed. When he goes out and wrestles the current “Iowa style,” (sic) he loses every close match. I’ll bet there are other schools that would love to have him in their lineup.

Beyond reaction time has no set amount of time it's the refs judgement. He felt it was 3.Disagree that it was the correct call - did not show control beyond reaction time. Fishback wrapped his arm around Arnold, but never turned the corner on Arnold's left hip / leg with his body such that he was fully behind Arnold. Fully behind is the requirement on non-Merkel takedown. That control was not established beyond reaction time.
Spot on.Every ref has a different definition of reaction time and what control actually is. I have just never seen a year where the differences are so noticeable
Yep, just like stalling. It’s ultimately left to the ref to decide how to make the call.Beyond reaction time has no set amount of time it's the refs judgement. He felt it was 3.
