To not call Lockett for that second stall and then to ding Caliendo in the last 30 seconds is exactly how stalling should not be called.

I know ESPN doesn't cover wrestling very often but these announcers aren't even close to the level of Sparks/Gibbons.
174- Alex Facundo vs. Patrick Kennedy
Period 1:
OKST has some attractive cheerleaders! Kennedy turns on the pressure off the whistle. Facundo spends a lot of time defending. Kennedy gets a bloody nose. Kennedy goes back to applying pressure. Facundo camps out on the edge while on his knees. 0-0 after the 1st period.
Period 2:
Facundo takes down, works to his feet & gets the escape, 1-0. Kennedy goes back to applying pressure in neutral, then picks an ankle for the TD, 3-1. Facundo finds a quick escape, 3-2. Facundo shoots from way out & Kennedy blocks him off until time expires. 3-2 Kennedy
Period 3:
Kennedy takes down & gets an escape, 4-2. Kennedy goes back to pressuring in neutral. Facundo shoots from way out, locks his hands around the leg & pulls it in as Kennedy sprawls. Just as Facundo gets the leg sucked in, Kennedy counters & comes behind for another TD, 7-2. Facundo works to his feet, but can't get away. Kennedy rides for a while & gets a stall warning. Facundo finds an escape just before time expires, 7-3. Kennedy adds a riding time point for the 8-3 win.

I am a little worried. Considering Mitchell wants to go and go, shooting over and over. Lockett probably gets tired first, but Mitchell is going to have to be in a dead sprint to catch him so he has something to shoot at.

He's exactly the same guy he was when he left here. He is what he is at this point. He's not getting any better from here on out.

Not sure I can root for Gabe Arnold over Ryder. Yeah, don't think so.
We had Mesenbrink coming so he couldn't come here and Bob offered him more than either OSU.
MM will go flying over top of him if he tries going to both knees like that. Lockett won't know what hit him. If he's somehow lucky enough to get an early TD MM will stall him or tech him.

Arnold takes down. He works to his feet & fights for the escape, 1-0. Back to tying up & pushing. A brief flurry of action, but nobody comes close to scoring. More tying up & pushing to end the period. This one is a barn burner. 1-0 Arnold
Period 3:
Ryder takes down & fights for the escape, 1-1. Ryder shoots, Arnold counters & comes behind for the TD, and then they go out of bounds. No points awarded. Iowa throws the brick & wants the TD called. Challenge overturned, no takedown. That was a rob job. Charge that ref with a misdemeanor! The score stays 1-1, 90-sec left. Ryder turns up the pressure & Arnold gets a stall warning. Back to tying up & pushing for a while. Arnold shoots & gets in deep on a leg, but time expires before he can finish. Off to overtime.

Seriously though, I've never cared for the ESPN crew. I like the Bigs top crew the best but usually I sync up Byers and roll with that.
Yeah. Listening to these guys you'd never realize that PSU are favored at 8 weights and another is a tossup.
