They put him on the boundary last night. I can't imagine they would switch it up this week.

Would be great if Welsh could get a TD on Ferrari but not counting on it; Starocci couldn't do it.Rocco is gonna get a TD before OT.
Keuter will be wrestling to avoid a shutout, and lose
Tom has moved guys around to win the dual but i dont think he'll move guys because Endene isn't there he would put Ludington in and say this is what you gotta beat because he is going to be the starter next year. Tom isn't a ducker either if the best guys are healthy the go.Will Iowa wrestle their full squad?
For Wisconsin,
They didn’t wrestle Dean Peterson at 125
They didn’t wrestle Bailey at 141
Endene was still recovering from the birth of his child at 197
I could see they might let Ludington wrestle again at 197, or even put Arnold out at 174 and move Kennedy and Ferrari up a weight class.

Actually the only recent time I remember tom shuffling the lineup was to win the cy-hawk dual, was it 2 years ago while all the suspensions were happening
Hopefully, not an oversight.Just as a humorous side note, the big wrestling schedule does not list this match.
FIFYThe big question: How long will Ayala and Ferrari spend on one knee to attempt to shut down Blaze and Welsh and win "defensive wrestlers of the week"?
I can't see them bumping Kennedy and Ferrari up a weight. The only practical way to do that is to stay within 1.5% (or so) of their regular weight to avoid a multi-week absence at that weight. And especially for Ferrari, wrestling the #1 197 while weighing 187 is madness. Will Iowa wrestle their full squad?

Minus that L to Lockett, I guess.Calliendo has clearly separated himself as the #2 wrestler in the land at 165, on a tier of his own by a good amount over #3 and below.
Out of curiosity, after 184 and HWT, where do you see IA getting their 3rd Win?I generally agree. Because its at Carver I'll predict 3 Iowa wins (hope I'm wrong). Also, Caliendo won't hold MM to a decision this time. He's not "closing the gap".

Against Starocci Ferrari spent most of his time getting to the edge so when Starocci got him in TD danger he could roll oob. Believing he can win he (Ferrari) may spend a small amount of time in the middle of the mat.Would be great if Welsh could get a TD on Ferrari but not counting on it; Starocci couldn't do it.
Just getting Petersons hopes up.Agree.
Iowa is favored, at least slightly, at 184 and 285. The 184 bout seems destined to go to OT tied at 1-1.
Other thoughts/observations:
125 - Has Lilledahl looked a bit off his last few matches? Not sure. But Peterson can be tough and beat LL last season.
141 - Really not sure what to expect here. Davis beat Bailey 1-0 last season at 133. Davis looked to be kinda gassed the last half of the Rutgers bout yesterday (1/10/26).
165 - Calendo wrestled MM very tough in their last match in the 2025 NCAA final, much closer than their previous bouts, which were all bonus point wins for MM.
Minus that L to Lockett, I guess.
I hope Welsh just bum rushs Ferrari from the get go. Unless he's used to his oldest brother doing it, it might work.I hope when they decide what weight class to start at they start at 184 in double over time.
Very unlikely but impossible to prove because the scoresheets on Track only list final scores. (Maybe because he's been in no tourneys?) But he's only given up 3 pts in 4 matches this year: 19-4, 20-4, 7-3, and 20-5. The 7-3 match was vs. Illinois' Chris Moore, career 29-28.Has anybody taken him down this year? Has a lot of single digit scores except for three TF's against #117 Gavin Ricketts (8-7), #46 Landon Jones (10-7), and number #64 Cale Anderson (4-8)-he beat #6 Fishback 4-1 in SV. The earliest of those came @ 6:59.
It would be really great if used that girlish split one too many times and had an Icarus moment. His brother has more points on his license than he has takedowns against really good competition.
I hate Fiats.
Also not sure Caliendo is "clearly separated on a tier of his own by a good amount" over that undefeated national finalist Blaze guy.Minus that L to Lockett, I guess.
This is good match up for Cole, tall skinny hwt. I think Cole can beat him.Big match for Cole, be nice to see him take a step forward and get the upset
I guess 41 is possible. I'll still call it 8-2 for the good guys with the hope that Rocco can pull off a Win in rideouts. An upset at 125 or 141. Carver always seems good for one. Mark Hall never won there.
MC will not let it fly. The only reasons the last two matches were close was MC wrestle defensively. MM majors or techs MC if MC lets it fly. Also… Peterson will wrestle for a one score match, Ayala will wrestle for a one score match, Nasir will, Ryder SVN could get weird, Williams will try to wrestle a one score match don’t think it’ll work though, Caliendo will let it fly and and is Iowa’s best wrestler, Kennedy will wrestle for a one score, Ferrari will take it to overtime, Endene will try, probably not succeed and Kueter is the favorite. Going up be a grind the whole time. Great test
Peterson is not beating Luke twice. Bailey has been a complete mess this season. The notion that Caliendo has closed the gap on Mitchell is silly. Carver or not, this will be an annihilation.Agree.

Ask, and it shall be given. Is this the week we sneak onto Iowa's campus in the middle of the night, glue blue and white lions on their welcome sign, and paint a Penn State singlet on the Gable statue?
What am I saying. Such antics are reserved for rivals. I'm sure Cael is just trying to decide whether to reward some of our room guys with the chance to wrestle in the once-hallowed coliseum of an ancient dynasty Friday night.

I agree, but as many have said, we're likely looking at OT. Ferrari will wrestle most of the match from his knees, and the Iowa faithful will be begging for stalling on Rocco. LolWhy do so many people think our undefeated returning/formal finalist is the underdog at 184? I don’t.
Oooh confidance…I’ll go(greatest to least):My confidence picks
