As many close matches as RBY and ADS wrestled, you have to figure that eventually the Brands boys make an adjustment and ADS finally beats RBY in a close match. All it took was one move to win it. Never happened, never close to happening. I think RBY and the PSU coaches knew it was not going to happen thus RBY wrestled ADS conservatively knowing he would get the one TD to win.

If MC has a new move, he should not duck MM in the meantime. He should set up the new move. Meaning he should get into the position to hit the new move, but not hit it. Instead, he should let MM score from that position. That way, MM will be lulled into liking that position. Then, Wham! (US) in the national finals.
This is absolutely horrible and a complete embarrassment for the program if true, but it's also Mineo, so take it with a gigantic grain of salt. The Wonder Twins doing something bizarre and secretive and giving no one any information so that there are immediately crazy conspiracies bouncing around the dark areas of the internet about "what really happened" that all paint the Wonder Twins in as bad a light as possible is like the Super Bowl for Mineo. Like most of these situations, there is probably a kernel of truth in there somewhere, but by the time the story comes out from anonymous sources, it's been twisted and sensationalized nearly beyond recognition, but Mineo is always there, chomping at the bit to share anyways because he's not the one doing the embellishing to make Iowa look bad, but rather just giving it an audience.
The one thing that is for certain is that the circus surrounding this can't be healthy for their team, which makes the possibility of a shutout tomorrow all that much greater. With a shutout likely on Sunday, we could have 5 straight by the start of next week.

I appreciate your skepticism. Brands should be smart enough to know that if he compelled an injured wrestler to compete and the result was a far more serious injury, both he and Iowa would be looking at a lawsuit with 8 figures or more in the liability column. It is no secret I have zero respect for Bob Nicolls. It would not shock me if Bob drove this behavior. JTS has predicted Bob Nicolls would be what destroys TnT and their program. It could be we are to that point.
I don't care what anyone says....Bob is a big problem for that program. No one will admit it because of his fundraising for the new facility but the day to day and NIL stuff I'd bet anything he's helping to make it all a clusterf*ck. When Brands goes, I'm really hoping Bob sticks around and owns the next coach too.

One other thing, if the Endene thing is an NIL issue, I'd be busting a nut from laughing so hard because problems arose over a D3 transfer and money. Think about that for a second. And then think about all the legitimate studs and recruits PSU has to make happy. Not saying Mo wouldn't eventually earn a few bucks but up till this point....with him.....NIL talk should pretty much be about pennies...

Luddington isn't ready this year and I'd think Brands will go with Gabe the rest of the season. Of course, I don't think like a deranged nutball so there is that...
Gabe is probably the long term 197 for this season. They don't have anyone else, unless they burn Ludington's shirt. The other actual 197 Sampson is a guy who has 4 losses to D2/D3 level competition this year. Gabe has to be better than that. For tomorrow, it's probably Ludington, though. He has two more dates he can use. Gabe was 174 two weeks ago at SS. You can't make him put on 15 lbs in 3 days and go out there against the #1 guy in the country. He'll look like a bloated tick. He has to have at least a little time to adjust to a new weight. 197 is far from ideal for Gabe, but whatever, he can't RS this year anyway, so this is his ticket to a starting job. I think Gabe can probably at least qualify for NCAAs at 197 and maybe get them a couple points.
