Indeed they are down. 99.9% if you believe the White House. I have no doubt they are down significantly bc Biden was abysmally bad but 99 sounds kinda crazy. The chaos part is in reference to there not really being any sort of workable long term plan for handling what has already crossed and what legal immigration is going to look like in the future. Mass deportations isn't going to work - practically or politically. Not with an economy reliant on the workers and in desperate need of their tax dollars. But step 1 is getting some order on the crossings part before any of the rest can work so yes that's a good thing is a station devoid of any good things.
People like to cheer on the deportations….until they realize the majority of the people employed to do construction, concrete, roofing, hand picking fruit and vegetables, yard work, etc are undocumented. Then the crying starts when the work doesn’t get done because there’s not enough labor to do it and an unemployed labor force that doesn’t want that job.

Round up and deporting the ones who committed crimes? Go for it. Otherwise leave them be.

Don’t look now. Unconfirmed reports of one last “targeted elimination.”

Eta: are rumors encouraged for global affairs??

No I really hate when people can’t separate emotions for logic and fact.

your emotions: trump is a meanie and I can’t give him credit

fact: illegal immigration is way better under trump
Guy I just gave him credit for 2 important things. It's you attempting to live in a world of "all things good bc of 1 guy / all things bad bc of another guy". Life and politics really isn't that binary. You do this nearly every political thread too. Your identity is tied up so much with defending Don that you can't even enjoy it when credit is given. It's a little weird. Guy is capable of both good and crappy things. Feel better?

Yep. Elephant that's been in the room for decades. There has to be a solution that gets the people contributing on the up and up with the government while also weeding out the "bad hombres". Easier said than done but that's the world we have to pursue. Neither mass deportations or open borders are healthy long term approaches.

There’s a pretty simple fix for this. Multiple actually.

1. quit giving handouts to people or limit them. Like work requirements for able body adults?

2. not many people are against document immigration for seasonal work.

But go ahead and worry about the avocados!!

No I’m just stating a fact. Illegal immigration is and and it’s drastically down under trump. In term 1 and 2.

was actually a pretty simple fix.

imagine if the previous admins had done this we wouldn’t be deporting people now.

Meanwhile Trump is over here doing us the courtesy of naming the war for us so no one else has to. That part's covered.

They went through the motions to be able to say they "retaliated". They know they have no business fighting us unless they want to bring hell fire down into population areas. The fact we flew 7 bombers halfway around the planet undetected has to get Russia/China's attention as well. Out of my wheelhouse here, but I believe Iran has similar radar tech as Russia/China if not sourced directly from them.

I'm sure terrorism will be popping off the rest of the summer where there is opportunity though.
Iran has the best SAM defense system that Russia has to offer so yeah I'm sure Russia is feeling a tad insecure right about now.

Why wouldn’t the cease-fire end right away? Like, why would they agree to each side carrying out more “missions“?

If there is a ceasefire, then stop. Just stop right there.

This is going much smoother than I thought it would. Too smooth. Emstate in me says RAT theory in play.
We demonstrated to Iran that we can hit anything in their country at any time with precision and there isn't a damn thing they can do about it. That goes a long ways towards the desire for peace.

I think there is a lag with some of the methods of communication they use.

Deserve credit? You follow some really wild news outlets if this is your view on how Israel has handled Gaza from a military or a humanitarian perspective.
I think it’s you who followed some wild media outlets.

Israel has given tons of aid to Palestine. Lots of foreign aid that goes to Palestine is taken by Hamas and held in warehouses so they can sell and use themselves.

The even bigger win there is demonstrating to other foes what we can do. I don't think many really doubted we could get to their sites should we want to. But the way we did it was very impressive and should keep Russia/China from thinking about any near-term global war aspirations. Now, how long will Iran / Israel play nice with each other? Probably depends on the regime future and even then the answer is probably "not long" given history. But the region seems more stable than it was last week so that's a big W.

He isn’t worried about avocados. He is worried about potatoes, oranges, apples, grapes, lettuce, tomatoes, just about everything that isn’t corn and wheat.

Unless things have changed since Soviet times there is quite a difference between the export version and the domestic version of the same Russian weapon systems.

If you knew much about military history you would know that he is correct on that.

Yeah, that's why they have air superiority over Ukraine Drones.

Dresden, Tokyo , Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Sherman's march. Total war is how you win. The Jews are playing for keeps.

They don't make a lot of ugly Persian women that's for sure. I've met quite a few through my wife's profession (medicine) and every single one of them has been beautiful. Very warm and approachable as well.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the Persian women are into "shag carpet", if you catch my drift........

Always trying to get a jab in!!

I mean we probably should rehire them all so they can keep using that paper retirement system that takes up like 90 million square feet of bunker space.
Our red team focus has been to our detriment for multiple presidents, so that isn’t a Trump thing. Since this is my area of expertise and I have specific knowledge of how things went down with some of the CISA groups that were impacted, I can tell you it wasn’t good for our national defense. It’s OK to call a bad thing bad even if your guy did it. Given that we’ve never done much blue team, I don’t know if it makes a difference or not. The guys I know were all red team guys.
