I would think at this point its all speculation but with even a slight tear in his labrum the likely hood of him being really productive is not very good for the rest of the season. I cant imagine being able to swing a bat very effectively with that injury.

some pretty good D.........Yes, I know the error against the Rebs hurt but he's been solid defensively otherwise........He just can't hit a breaking ball........He'll get the corrected.........

to retire batters. It seems that was one of his best weapons last year. He is going to have to go back to that I think to enjoy more success this year.<div>I hope Slaughter can handle it.</div>

And he is one of the few outfielders who can turn doubles into outs. He does make too many errors, but I'd rather have that and live with a couple of extra errors a season than a great fielder who can't get to as many balls.
