That the collectives are fed by the sportsbooks? That the SEC and Big 10 networks exist to facilitate live in game betting?

I no longer care!

Season 4 Whatever GIF by Friends
Sorry in advance for not knowing how to reply. There’s no reason to care anymore. Even if this system was legit we have no chance. But when u realize that we are one of the monster trucks not named grave digger it becomes even harder to care.

The college football that I loved is dead. Nothing that happens in and around college football surprises me anymore. I’ll watch on Saturday, I’ll check in here regularly but I’m no longer emotionally invested in college football. I’m having a harder time giving up on baseball. I’m hoping beyond hope that college baseball retains some semblance of what it was but it’s too late for football.

I'm still emotionally involved, but care less and less by the day. The game that I love is dead, so to speak.
Only so much of a minor league program that I can care about. And I don't like it.
Oh by the way, they are using our stadium and facilities.

Without gambling, I wouldn’t care as much. I won’t watch an nfl game

The stadium is the live studio audience.

Well that would explain the lack of any attempt to tackle on certain drives
Nah they let them play I think they just limit the resources of the non brands like us. It’s not about who wins the games so much as it is about who plays in them.

say what now?
To be clear. What I’m saying is that the entire thing is bs. The rules around collectives are set up perfectly for routing money directly from the sportsbooks to the schools. This is done through ā€œbooster donationsā€. You have the dots. Connect them.

How does donating to NIL collectives benefit sports books?

How does donating to NIL collectives benefit sports because that money isn’t a payout — it’s a marketing and volume engine that feeds them more bets than it costs. Similar to any business and maintenance. Cost of doing business.

I’ve seen a couple of really fishy Backdoor covers this year in college, gambling is definitely influencing some outcomes.

Def could be I’m not implying that it doesn’t happen. I’m sure they know what to do when to do it. Gotta have the big boys in the big games. And it’s why they won’t ever give up the conference championships. Too much money being bet.

It also benefits them because they are literally able to control the sport from a revenue standpoint. They have 150 billion dollars in annual revenue so imagine getting to determine who gets what to ensure the proper infrastructures remain

This simply isn’t true. The only reason ole miss is in the playoffs is bc of NIL.

Ole Miss NIL could have been the recipient of some major % and it could have been more about Kiffin than Ole Miss. I mean he did have a fake dog.
You said we didn’t have a chance. We do just like they did.

our chances are better now that they were in 2014 if we pull together a similar string of seasons and talent gathering.

But they had a chance.
If Kelly is successful at lsu, lane might still be at ole Miss next year with another chance
I think the LSU opening provided a convenient option for Kiffin. Ole Miss made the playoff and Kiffin is now a $$ commodity. No way they were gonna let him help them win it. Theyll need his a$$ this week. Ole Miss is in this spot because of him. And they let him ride it out right up till the end.

We have no chance. They will slip down with lane gone. They have a chance this year. But not really.

I mean just go take a look at the bulldog initiatives website. And just really tell yourself that this is real.

Being an idiot is the bottom tier.

ā€œno chanceā€ well you are wrong. We do have a chance. That’s a fact.

it’s an opinion on how much of a chance
Do you still do this every night? Hurl insults like you’re the alpha around here? I’ve been gone a while. Your gang has shrunk.

so y'all really believe money flows from a Sportsbook to a collective to a player. Then the Sportsbook controls the player?

maybe one guy here or there but I can't imagine that's wide spread to make the whole sport a farce.
