or with the ease of finding up to the second weather data, everyone has become a weather expert?

on the sixpack, goatholder and cowbell. The rest of us just look at the models and pretend to be.

I seriously considered it. Plus my whole livelihood is based on the weather so yeah I watch it all the time.

I found it funny when the Rebel fans would call Bulldog fans "stupid farmer rednecks". Farmers have to be meteorologists, chemists, biologists, mechanics, physicists, all rolled up into one.

I wonder how much skill it takes for Rebel-fan to live to age 21 and inherit Diddy's wealth?

I watch the weather radars and fronts all week to see what it's going to do on the weekends. Most of the time, the tv guys are just wrong. They don't know what it's going to do until it actually does it; like a weather rock. If the rock is wet, it's raining.

Seriously though, I think that IKE is still headed toward LA. I don't see it moving that far west yet.

or at least my assumption that you are characterizing Ole Miss people as either wealthier or more likely to inherit money. I don't believe either is true.

But, I will pose this question: Just how much skill did it take 5 years ago to go rant and rave to juries dead set on wealth redistribution and perhaps crooked judges in Holmes, Jefferson, and Claiborne county and extract money from pharmaceutical companies? None.

So you don't like the stereotype that all State fans are rednecks, but you perpetuate the stereotype that all Ole Miss fans are trust fund babies.

That makes a lot of sense.

If you post on the Six Pack, you're automatically an expert... in any and everything.

I think there is a high pressure cell that will continue to hold the storm to the south. Its hard to believe that air flow will do that, but that is what the models that track the storm toward central to Southern Texas look at.

I bet you know this site:

http://hurricane.accuweat...ype=ei&basin=atlantic

They do a pretty good job and seem to know what they are talking about, plus they have pretty satelite tracking that will catch the butterfly wingbeat in Africa that becomes a hurricane in Louisiana.

I can't remember who wrote that we needed to get back to football up the thread, but weather has been a topic of conversation much longer than football, granted not as popular when you're playing Auburn on Saturday.

Here is a little football to ease the pain. If we don't play the best game (by maybe at least 2X better) of the year we will not beat Auburn, but I'll still be there, hoping that it doesn't rain, because I hate driving 2 hours back to M-town in wet shorts, win or lose.

Ole Miss really reaped huge benefits off the redistribution of wealth created by the tort situation in certain jurisdictions in MS. To characterize even 20% of the Ole Miss people in that light is wrong -- and I probably did that. But, there is no doubt that the University benefited like perhaps no other in America from that environment. Evidence your chancellor's defense of Dickie on actual University letterhead. Gee whiz. Talk about selling your soul to the devil. Of course, I think your chancellor is a pompous jackass anyway. I just didn't realize he was either such an idiot or such a *****.

Since my ability to post on sixpack makes me an expert I will use this position to say that all Ole Miss fans aren't rich kids. In fact the majority of them are lower class and uneducated. If you drive through any trailer park in MS you will either see an Ole Miss flag or a Bama flag (in the eastern part). I think that the Ole Miss "culture" is much like plantation culture or the culture that still exists in the MS Delta. There are the very wealthy and the very poor. I perceive MSU as being the middle class university in the state. I think that kids from middle class households see coming to MSU and majoring in Engineering/Ag/Architecture/Vet/Business as a good way to increase their potential. I honestly dont mean this as a knock against UM, its just the way i see things. But remember, I am an expert.

Are you as offended by the crooked judges on the MS Supreme Court as the ones in those counties? Just wondering.

and if you are trying to draw any comparision betwen Lamar Pickard and anyone on the supreme court -- Oliver Diaz included, you are not even in the ballpark.

I will say this: Lamar Pickard was (before his wings were clipped) uniform: Anyone defending a company was uniformly denied -- even in routine procedural motions. Anyone suing a company's motion was uniformly granted, no matter how preposterous.

None of the supremes are that consistent. Hell, drunk crazy *** Chuck McRae wasn't even that biased.
