or has the traffic on this board greatly reduced since Rick Ray got hired? I'm sure it's just the time of year but I don't ever remember the board being as quiet as its been these last 2 months.

Here's a look at the fiscal year of SPS.

July: Building excitement
August: Ready to talk about anything football related. Mullen's breakfast choices included.
September: FOOTBALL IS HERE! Huge increase in traffic.
October (current): FOOTBALL IS HERE! (ca. 2004-2008) When does basketball season start? Traffic steady.
November: We're going to kick Bear azz! This is OUR STATE!. Traffic down slightly due to losses to Alabama and Arkansas.
December: Slow down. A little talk about bowl game/basketball. Traffic steady.
January: SEC Basketball is here!. Traffic up a little.
February: Recrootin, a little basketball. Traffic steady.
March: March Madness/Stans needs to be fired. Traffic up.
April: Baseball! Traffic down.
May: More baseball. Traffic down
June: DDDY/non-sports. Traffic way down.

I'm usually on here everyday just to check up on the news, but in the peak times, I could be on here a couple hrs a day and a day like today I could be on here 5 minutes a day.

I can't tell. The reduced traffic has to do with the fact that it's mid-may. Baseball is ok but not great. There's just not much to talk about.

more of just an observation on the board. There is dead periods and then there is this and this has been going on for 2 months now. Something else is up cause this board is deader than 17 lately and it's not just because it's May. You tell me? I've been on here for a long time and I don't ever remember it being this dead for this long.

there has been very little controversy from basketball the last month
Baseball has improved- which means less bitching also

Combine those two things with it being dead this time of year- and you have your answer.

looks like there was less visits 2 years ago at this time. Is there anyway to track the amount of posts per day/month?
