if we can stop these guys from putting up no more than 30-points ...I think we can score at will on this sieve of a defense.....good night these guys have no defense....

Our best bet is to keep their offense on the sideline. Ball control, ball control, ball control.

not presuming we win the game ....but I predict Dixon runs for 200+ yds and 3+ TD's on these children of the corn....</p>

but the Cougars weren't so bad against the pass. They have a lot of speed on D, just not all that physical. I think we could run the ball against them fine. I don't think our passing game will do squat though until we force UH to over commit to the run. Now, if we are talking defense, UH will shred our secondary like it is not even there. Only way we win is with ball control offense and hope like heck UH throws a pick or two. Frankly, I don't think we think we match well up against UH, and this one could get ugly in a hurry. Our coaching staff has a lot of work to do in the next 2 weeks as we have to game plan completely differently for GT than any other opponent, then do the much the same against the Cougars.

Pound the ball with the RB's, go down the field a few times to try and get a big play, but mostly keep everything within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. I think we will have serious problems covering them, but if we can run the ball effectively and limit the number of possessions they get, we can stay in it. Controlling the clock with the run will be key in that game.

their D line is undersized and if we can put together 3 or 4 long , clock eating scoring(as in TD`s) drives we win that ball game.

So I dont think that would be a good comparison of something that didnt work. They didnt do it because they are a wide open type of offense and they get down the field quickly. We are a methodical, run first pass second team that can eat away the clock. We did it to LSU yesterday and severely limited their time of possession from what it usually is against us to just over 25 minutes, and that strategy gave us an opportunity to win that game. If we can do something similar to Houston, that would give us a huge advantage. Teams that move down the field that fast have one fatal flaw, and that is if their one dimension doesnt work, they are stuck in neutral. Keep their off ense off the field, limit their possessions, and pound their defense in the mouth over and over and we can wear them down.
