Not around other men. My wife buys it on occasion and I will drink one in solitude or around her. I dare not drink one in public though. I'll drink anything though. I'm not a beer/alcohol snob by any means. Hell, Natty Ice might be my favorite beer.
A perfectly acceptable precursor to a fine bottle of Beringer white zin
I kid. I've got a stepdad that's one of the toughest guys I know, but if he had his way, he'd drink Fuzzy Navel coolers all day. The first time I saw that, I stopped worrying about what other people were drinking.
A man drinks what he likes with no regards to the opinion of others.
I enjoy a good cider after yard work in the summer. I'll be making mojitos this weekend with mint growing in my backyard. I will be making John Besh's BBQ shrimp and pairing it with a Pinot Grigio or perhaps a white muscadine table wine. I'll probably have a vodka/cranberry poolside at some point as well. Drink what you want. There's no satisfaction in doing otherwise.
Fun fact:
Angry Orchard and Twisted Tea are made by the same company, the Cincinnati Samuel Adams brewery.
So you're practically drinking a Sam Adams.
If you're still not feeling manly enough, you could try a black velvet (or more macho sounding snakebite-same thing) that's half stout, half cider.
Absolutely, I don't give a rats *** what anybody thinks either, i really like it. A couple of our local restaurants have it on tap and it seems to suit me with everything, I don't buy much of anything but the crisp apple and bourbon anymore,
I had Snakebites in England a few years back at this Aussie bar. What they called a Snakebite was part cider, part beer (don't think it was a stout but it's been a while) and a splash of fruity purple stuff. Pretty tasty.
many a red nosed brute scurrying around in england and wales say its cool and i tend to agree. STRONGBOW and black thorn are brews of choice there and i must say, they are quite tasty. fish, chips, and a nice cyder are nearly unbeatable for a lunch combo.
