After losing a close one last year in the championship and returning a really solid core from last year I would have to say yes. It's a lot of pressure but if want to be an elite program that's always in the conversation it comes with the territory.

Great team. I can picture someone like LWE or Stevie beating them in regular season. The question is how will they respond. Obviously, they are good enough to run the table but 17 year olds react in different ways to adversity.

I wish them luck. If GW can get into the playoffs and lands in 8A, they likely would have to eventually face Homer Flosswood. Hoping to see that game.

HF having the Drive as well all eyes on them, like their Coach said its a great opportunity and they are up to the challenge but everyone's emotions are high until a loss, then we will see what HF is really made of (if they lose)

I would have to agree is win it all or bust. Possibly exceeded expectations last year but with most of the kids back and some talented transfers, it WILL be a disappointing season without a ring. That being said, there are many possible obstacles but on and off the field. I echo capnbillhitters on the fact that 17 year old kids are just that.....17 year old kids. The pressure is MUCH different this year than last but alas, it is State Championship or Bust!!

Where the hell is fratboy for this thread?

Anything short of the title game would be a fail for this squad.
