Well mashburned I never really sat down and tried to rank cheeses, there are some that are best in certain situations (like Swiss on a ham sandwich and things of that nature), but I would certainly put mozzarella towards the top.

Mozz is up there, but the following are certainly in contention:

Gorgonzola, Goat, Pepperjack, Provolone, Velveeta, Blue Cheese (not in bottle), Feta.

Muenster, yuck city. Brie is ***, too. Any cheese that's in cake form is dumb.

Mimolette. How could you not like a cheese that intentionally introduces cheese mites on the surface to add flavor.

I'll argue that mozz would be the hardest cheese to go without. No more pizza, no more Caprese salad, no more fried cheese sticks. I don't want to live in that world.

Provolone kicks Mozzarella's ***. People think you can't make pizza with Provolone but that's a ludicrous falsehood. You can. and it is much better. When people say they can't tell the difference in the two, I laugh and call them rubes or philistines.

Must be a LaRosas franchisee.

It's good, not the best though. Haverty is probably my favorite. Ghouda is also excellent and beats Swiss on a ham sandwich.

If it's not on a piece of fried chicken, I don't even mess with cheese anymore. I have seen the light.

Didn't notice this one mentioned, but a very good choice for anything requiring Mozzarella or Provolone.

Mash, you need to be more specific with the mozzarella... we talking Burata, Bufalo, Fiore di Latte?
