all of these mentions of USM (indirect or direct) will bring all 10 of theirs fans here one day. Hasn't there been 5 of them who've come here in the past few days?

I have been to 2 USM games this year -- none of the MState games. Skyboxes in the Rock are very nice --band puts on a very decent halftime show..and sounds great in the stands. Funny part was that for the UCF game - which turned into a 1 pt nail biter (although I had left by that time -- and yes, i did get a few stares for wearing my MSU colors amongst all the yellow ...umm i mean black and gold) the band was more interested in keeping the beach ball airborne than watching the game in the third qtr. Rest of the crowd seemed to be very involved in the game...and there was a very good turnout (2x the OM crowd, i would saY)

Are we going to have to deal with Mullen leaving rumors every year?

that Don Mullins would go to Arizona

or

that the Hat will go to Oxford.

sometimes the most plausible scenario to us unenlightened commonfolk isnt based in reality.

i learned that when Irving Myers left Florida

*ByrnehiringMullen at AZ would be like playing the same hand twice.

all of this talk about Mullen going somewhere else doesn't bother me in the least. I would rather have Diaz.

At this point Hud will coach at MSU way before Manny ever does.

If Manny is successful at Texas, the sky is the limit for him and he won't be coming to Starkville unless it's coaching an opposing team or we've become a national program force to be reckoned with. If he's not successful at Texas, and considering we've done pretty damn well this year defensively, do we really give him the job?

At the same time, Hud is simply a sun belt head coach. Any coach in the sun belt would jump as a lateral move at the opportunity to coach here...as evidenced by Manny coming here in 2010.

than Manny considering we lost 3 NFL players. Manny has given up a ton of yards and points with a bunch of 4 and 5 star talent this year.

But I don't think going to Arizona would even be a lateral move from MSU ... it would be a downgrade.

Diaz coached 3 nfl players last year. He did what he was supposed to do, play pretty good defense. He has not set the world on fire in Texas. He bailed because he knew the talent would be worse and he wouldnt be a defensive mastermind anymore. Manny might get the boot with Mack in the next 2 years if Texas doesnt get it right. For all you dumb 17ers, Chris Wilson has done a much better job with what he has than Diaz. Wilson's D is better. Have you noticed the improvement at DE and LB. Thats coaching idiots. If you want Diaz more than you want to keep Mullen you are to MSU what the Col Reb crowd is to UM, dumb as 17

If you have been to two USM games and no state games then you are stripped of your "fandom".
I understand being a State fan and not being able to make games if it's too far to travel or you work Saturdays or something, but if you're still able to spend your Saturdays going to football games and choosingUSM games over State games..........buh bye.

I was never sold on Diaz's blind attack, Sun Belt-developed scheme, despite the results. If he was still here and we blitzed two linebackers every other play like we did last season, we'd be giving up 45 points per game. Wilson's defense is based on solid fundamentals with a good balance of playing aggressively and conservatively, and putting up roughly the same results as last year minus three players now playing on Sundays tells the story on who's better. I'm also very impressed with Geoff Collins; just look at what he started with at linebacker and where they are in less than a year.

Please someone explain....I feel like you guys like him simply because he's a bulldog. What did he do at MSU that was so impressive??? He couldn't coach our receivers out of a paper bag, but yet you guys think he'd make a great head coach. <div>
</div><div>Before you guys start yelling "but look at what he did at North Alabama and ULL," go look at yourself in the mirror and repeat that statement 5 times, and tell me if anyone gives a damn about UNA and ULL</div>

Once he see's your post you will be educated on all things Hud. Tritons- Hud man crush will leave this post where you will need a black light so your cursor won't touch any left over specimens.

they want to be competitive and all, but basketball is king out there, and they also like the sport of swimming.
