They have an average player ranking around 89 while ours is 67??? I looked at our incoming players and everyone is above 86. Are they factoring in the players leaving?

Does it really matter?

Preseason rankings, bowl projections, 5* vs 3*, NIL rankings. They don't mean a damn thing except to those of you that get all riled up over them. Ask TX and Ohio St how those rankings work out. The on the field results are all that need to be considered and that's it, all the other is just fluff for website clicks and selling magazines.

Well Indiana can get it done with 2 and 3 stars but normal schools need 4 and 5 star players. Somebody needs to figure out Cignetti's formula.

By all reports they are spending more than us and they are coming off a final 4 playoff season. Is it really shocking that they might be getting better players than us?
To be honest I don't know how much state or ole miss spends on players. I hear rumors but don't know if they are actually spending more than us. I keep hearing how much more they are spending. But never hear how much more. I would like to see it in undisputable proof in writing.

Ole Miss made some good decisions, and they got lucky on things. They have great PR. They got Journalist in right positions at ESPN and other media outlets we do not. They had Kiffin for six years and you see what has happened at State the past six years. They have had cupcake schedules the past several seasons and we have not. They have had winning seasons and we have not. Why would someone choose State over Ole Miss right now? Going forwards they will still have good PR and I don't see our improving. One thing they will not have moving forwards is Lane Kiffin. So, we will see how things change. Saban turned LSU around and they rode the Saban train for a good while after he left until the wheels fell off so we will see how long Ole Miss can keep it going.

The proof is in the fan base. Just look at the message boards.

UM fans have pissing contests among themselves about who gives the most. MSU fans have pissing contests among the fans on who could absolutely care less.

One side said let's get on this ride and go. One side said that ride is too complicated and scary.

One side said they wanna win games and watch themselves in major playoff bowls. One side said they will catch a few games here and there, hope to pull a couple out, and check on the scores from the deer stand.

Its just the road, as a university and fanbase, we all decided to travel. And that road is getting less maintained and more bumpy than the new superhighway Running the other direction.

Don't kid yourself. Their mouth breathing coach is a heck of lot better than our mouth breathing coach is. They'll fall off some. But not as far as we would all like.

Let's see Golding do it without the Kiffin infrastructure before we start talking about how good he is. There were a lot of safety rails for him in those playoff games that he won't have come the regular season.

Of course it matters. IU recruited older developed players as did Ole Miss. You know as well as anyone that ability plus experience equals results on the field. Ohio State won the NC last year and was in the CFP. Unfortunately for them the got the bye. IU was the only bye team to win in the present CFP system.

He never misses an opportunity to talk up Ole Miss.
