Is OM/Bama the most lopsided series in the SEC?

I was curious and looked up superlatives regarding several SEC series to see just how lopsided it really is.

How about a lopsided matchup we're all familiar with. MSU vs Arkansas.

http://gridironhistory.com/versus/Mississippi State/Arkansas.html

We've beaten Arkansas on their turf once in 11 tries(thanks Mullen!). Overall, we've won 8/24. That's really still only about 33%. Some of the others I've looked up are much more lopsided.

How about another team we've had trouble getting over the hump with. LSU

http://gridironhistory.com/versus/Mississippi State/LSU.html

Once again I was actually surprised it was that good. 36/108 obviously sucks but that's again about a 30% win rate or so. Also surprised that it actually is pretty close % wise at to home or away.

Next I looked at an obvious one, Kentucky - Florida.

Surprisingly, it's not all that bad. Well, sure it's bad. But not as bad as I'd have thought. They've won in the swamp 4/31 times, and UK is actually 10-19 at home against the gators. With the current 20+ year streak, it sounds to me like this was actually pretty close pre-Spurrier.

Let's check on another one: Kentucky v Tennessee

http://gridironhistory.com/versus/Kentucky/Tennessee.html

Kentucky has won about 20% or so times they've played, with a slightly lower % on the road.

How about VANDY.

http://gridironhistory.com/versus/Vanderbilt/Tennessee.html

Surprisingly again, Vandy's won about 20% of the time in Knoxville and a little under 30% overall.

Now HERE's a good one. 10/47 overall and 2/22 at the swamp. DAMN. And they just won there last year too. Still overall that's over 20%.

Not too terrible vs UGA tho. Just wanted to show that I looked it up.

Which brings me to my last one: Ole Miss - Bama

http://gridironhistory.com/versus/Ole Miss/Alabama.html

This is a huge *** whipping. 8/61. WOW. That's 13% OVERALL. Including one win in 28 tries in Tuscaloosa. I figured it was bad but not that bad.

Looking a little further, and please hold your laughter at the wiki article title....

Back in the day, Bama crushed OM 7 meetings in a row in a shutout. And it wasn't your traditional old school 100 years ago 3-0, or 7-0 shutout either. The closest one in that span is 27-0 which happened twice. Another look and I see that it's actually 8/9 games were a shutout. From 1912-1931 OM played bama 11 times and scored 22 points in those games combined. And that's pre-Bryant too. No wonder Vaught stayed the hell away from them for so long. Those are some painful memories.

Maybe they can play a game in Greenville again, where Ole Miss is undefeated at 1-0 way back in 1910.

Yikes. Not one to throw stones (glass houses, etc etc) but that is just poor. I guess you could say "they're due" bit with that type of historical domination I'm not sure they're ever due anything.

My question is why back in the day when you made your own schedule did we schedule Alabama so many times? It's like doing the same thing over and over thinking you are going to get a different results but you don't.
