That might be the dumbest thing I have ever read on this board.
This cant be a serious statement. Have we totally lost our moral compass in sports in search of winning?
I think he's finished. I'm not even sure UL will let him step down on his own unless he blindsides them and does it in the next day or so before the UL administration has time to get their ducks in a row. .
Sure and maybe he can bring the hookers and strippers with him so we too can have a scandal.
This is the second scandal for him whe at U of L regarding sex. One was personal at the restaurant and now this one. He is an embarrassment for the school. On the court he is pretty solid. Off the court, not so much.
As always, he will deny knowing about this or any wrongdoing. Deny deny deny. But it depends if the people on the board of regents there have enough nads to get rid of him. I would think at most places he would be gone but remember they hired Bobby Petrino twice so who knows.
This is how all top basketball schools function. Do you really think all these "one and done" players at top schools are actually college students? I'm guessing most would struggle to even find the campus. They are mercenaries hired to do one thing: win. The cost of their service is overlooking (or having athletic department staff) provide the drugs, cash, and ho's necessary to justify their time.
How good would he really be on the court without these types of extra recruiting activities. If it happened here it has been happening at all his stops.
Uniowa that is certainly possible. He flopped in the NBA. He has a winning record and has shown he can win games. He just has little or no morals it seems to me anyway. Wouldn't want him any where near a school that I root for.
Today he's says he's staying so he won't "let the fans down". Gotta love a guy willing to basically say 'I win. Fans love winning. The school needs to be careful losing fans if they fire a winner like me' (regardless of scandal apparrently). Hmmmmm...that general tone sounds kind of familiar. What a joke this guy is. I hope he does still coach so fans can give him an earful everywhere they play...there is NO way that this guy didn't know that recruits were getting laid when visiting..I'm sure that their Moms are pleased to read this too.

Loseville fans don't care. If Pitino were still at UK, neither would their fans. The whole state is corrupt -- in line with the Dixie attitude of "if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'."
Nothing will come of this like all the other scandals that have hit major programs in the past. A big noise will be made about this for about 2 weeks and then a new scandal will take it's place and everything will go on as normal.

It is ok that they were getting laid, it's the whole "how they were getting laid" thing that is just plain awful all around.
The school really needs to cut this clown loose ASAP.
