Is Shaun Smith going to redshirt?

He didn't play in today's exhibition game, when everyone else other than Riek and Sidney did. Minutes were going to be a little hard to come by at the 2/3 with so many players who could man those positions but I didn't really expect him to redshirt, and perhaps he is not and was nursing an injury of some sort or serving some sort of punishment. Any insights from anyone?

And he missed that game with the same injury. I hope it's not something that will keep lingering and become a problem for him.

I don't like redshirting basketball players, but this team probably can afford to do it in this case.

we really don't have a need to press him. I saw him a couple of times when he was an underclassman and he was alot smoother than he has shown lately. Shaun missed alot of his senior year with injuries and did not play summer league ball because of it. It may be better to have him rehab this year under the observation of medical staff.
