Looks like a new BBQ place called "The Joint" is taking over the building that the Breakfast Club is in. Sad to see it go

I went once or twice, it seemed extremely average, nothing to write home about.
The Joint is going to be operated by the same group that owns Taste and Bluto’s.
Their Biscuits and Gravy were gross. The gravy was "sweet" and it should not have been.
I was a big fan of their biscuits and gravy. Their chicken biscuit with gravy was fantastic too
Have they gotten better? Because it was awful and empty when I went for breakfast during the 2021 regional.
Sunday mornings after home football/baseball games it is usually packed, including last year. To me, breakfast is breakfast. During one of my last visits a cook got into a shouting match with a server, it was entertaining.
Breakfast in Starville evidently is tough business. The only college town EV-ER to have a Waffle House and a Huddle House close the doors. Still one Waffle House but its way out by WallyWorld
I'm the same way about cornbread but that apparently is a major battle throughout the South, whether to put sugar in it or not. I'm down for no sugar in the cornbread!
Agree on Taste, I haven’t been to Bluto’s either but my wife has and she loves it. I’m not a big fan of Greek food in general, though.
Bluto’s has been a little bit of a disappointment to me. It’s pretty average and there are better values for the money. The couple of times I’ve been to Taste have been positive.
Hopefully The Joint will be good.
