Is the defense tackling better?

I saw many missed tackles vs Oregon, but watching games since then, the defense brings the wood and seems to be tackling better at LOS, IMO.

For sure; I saw some NFL efforts on a few plays. I have to rewatch the tape : but some focused great efforts.

No question. I can remember only four misses Saturday. One was Gerry getting juked the second time the backup QB ran the keeper to the left. One was a DL missing the QB who then stepped up in the pocket and completed a sideline pass. One was a swing pass to the right a LB took a bad angle on - it turned no gain into around 12 yards, and there was a miss in the hole when they ran the fake reverse for a TD. In the Oregon game there were so many I lost count. HCMR said they worked on tackling during the bye and it showed. I thought the tackling was excellent. The best tackles of the day were the Kalu shoestring to prevent the backup QB scoring, Gerry sniffing out a screen and laying wood, and Jo Jo Dormnan's crushing tackle on a KO.

I think that they are taking better angles to the ball carrier (we haven't seen Gerry getting juked out of his cleats).

Definitely seems better... Gerry blowing up those screen plays was a thing of beauty and Kalu several times in the open field were the ones that stood out to me.
