is either on the team or connected to the team somehow. he came out of nowhere but seems to know what's going on so I'd say its true.

He was a pretty good hitter, and he was a catcher, something that we need for next year. Our likely starter, if this is true, is Wes Thigpen from Meridian, but I don't trust Mississippi JUCO's.

dad wasn't real happy with his son not playing more. Also, although we will miss Freeman's power, Cohen pretty much said he didn't think he would catch but would get a look at 1st or one of the corner outfield position.

From what I was told last week was that yes the family was unhappy at first
because he wasnt getting more at bats since he was healthy again..
but towards the end of the season things were getting better because he was getting more at bats.
Plan was to goto summer ball wherever, and he would come back and have a shot.

Things might of changed since he had his meeting though..

The starting catcher next year will be a recruit. That might have happened anyway, especially if Freeman isn't healthy, but it would be good to have one returning catcher.

his dad was supposedly a real good catch who was drafted high but got tired of the travel in the minors. Again, Cohen wanted him back but he wasn't gonna catch full time. This Thigpen guy from MCC is a pretty good defensive catcher, obviously Cohen has plans at the catchers position.

A friend and myself talked to Freeman outside the bar on Saturday night. While he never said if he would be leaving or not, when asked what he thought of Cohen, he replied: "I hate that motherf*****." So, needless to say.....I don't think he's too fond of John Cohen.

If someone had asked me how I liked my high school football coach at the time, I would've said the same thing, "I absolutely hate that damned piece of motherf****n dog ****". He was a short-fused smartass, but I respected him, did what he said, and never second guessed him because I knew he was, and still is, a great coach.

I didn't read a lot into it because of that very reason. Freeman may hate him, but he could still respect him.

I hope people will be patient next year also. Because if people like Freeman leave, and we are starting a **** load of freshman and jucos, we might end up with a similar record, although I'm almost positive it will be above .500. Year 3 is where it's at.

I hope this isn't ture. It seems it would take an awful lot to make him transfer. His family loves the banner school and are there for most games and were before he went to school there
