Is the WWL positioning Jay Bilas to be the next NCAA Pres?

Ever since the PSU debacle, ESPN has given Bilas a pretty big platform to vent on. They let him rip Emmert at will and whenever he is a guest on a show (radio or tv), he's there to simple point out the inconsistencies of NCAA rulings. And normally they weave in some sort of "what would you do if you were the NCAA president" question. For the record, I agree with a lot of what Bilas is saying.

Anyone seeing this develop?

The truth is that ESPN is running the sports world. Who would've thought that a television network would end up setting the agenda for pretty much every sport in our country. They need a competitor in the worst way.

If I'm not mistaken bilas has a law degree so he is probably more qualified to answer questions on NCAA rulings.

Starting next year you will, but unfortunately it's affiliated with a news outlet that has brainwashed millions of Americans on other issues already. Fox Sports 1 will probably flop. I'd take anything by ESPN over those morons at Fox.

I'd love Bilas as NCAA prez by the way. Between PSU and Rutgers and this current guy being a complete jackass I think university presidents proved they're not qualified to run the largest sports league in the world.

Interesting conspiracy.

Ive never thought about it in that way.
I have noticed for the last few years that he is constantly pointing out inconsistencies in the NCAA rule book, logic, and actions. But I have always just chalked it all up to how he thinks- with a legal mind.
He is a practicing attorney, is clearly wicked smart, and has some serious black/white values when it comes to college athletics. All that added up has always just translated to him doing what he does and how he does it, at least to me.

I would be interested to see if he would ever consider something like being the NCAA Prez. I could easily see him being too disgusted with the bureaucracy, dumb rules and processes, and internal fat.
