Really ...

No. He doesn't have the grades. And it's not a new occurrence.

You obviously didn't even bother to read the CL article. Ole Miss didn't even bother to help him find him a JC to attend. Frezzus had no more use for Walker and abandoned him.

So you admit there's a difference in not finding a JC for someone who can't qualify and abruptly taking the scholarship from someone who can after you told them not to talk to other schools for the last 6 months.

Red, there is more to the story, several nuggets, here's one. Turner tells

Liggins he is coming to watch him play, he shows up and Liggins doesn't play, suspended. There are others. To make it appear Liggins was blindsided by what happened is a stretch.

Are you saying there's a difference in telling a guy to kick rocks because he couldn't qualify and telling a guy to kick rocks because he fights at school and didn't live up to the agreement decided on when he accepted an offer?

Both are ******, but at least MSU can point to turnover on the staff... Specifically his position coach and recruiter. Nasty business.

Are you saying that "you have to qualify" isn't an agreement just as much as the one you believe with Liggins? Should Ole Miss sign him (with limited spots) well knowing he won't qualify?

The MSU coaches can point to whatever they want on Liggins....but so can the Ole Miss coaches with Walker. He won't qualify, that is part of the agreement to signing. It's not like they voluntarily took it from him, he left them with no choice by making terrible grades.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy on this board in these issues. This board was all up in arms over Ole Miss dropping kids last year even before this point in the recruiting season. Now it's all good and well if MSU does it because "the kid didn't do his part" or some other ********. Meanwhile, the same people pretend as if there were no reasons why Ole Miss has done the same in the past other than Freezus is a snake-oil salesman, a liar, a fake Christian, etc etc etc.

Either it's OK to do or it isn't, there really isn't a middle ground. For the record, I couldn't give a single **** if they do it 1 week before signing day. It's a business, and the business is to be better than your competitors. You don't get there by being tender-hearted. I just think how some people talk out of both sides of their mouths is hilarious.
