Is there an NCAA rule about where athletes are housed?

I know the Ninja is wanting an athletic village to put all ppl playing MSU sports.

I know when I was at MSU, there was a dedicated jock dorm, but Raffy spent most of his time in Creswell and Rice

I believe the rule is that no building or floor within a building can be greater than 50% athletes. Don't quote me on that, but I think that's accurate.

It's something like that. Either way, I know it can't be 100% athletes. So if you create an athletic village, you have to allow regular students to live there as well, and I can guarantee that'll be the top dorm choice of non-athlete students.

decent rule, keeping big programs like USC and Texas from building luxury condos for players when the Ole Miss and MSU's of the world are stuck with quonset huts. There seems to be an attempt to do an end run with the athletic village thing by pulling men's and women's teams together and claiming it as an attempt to adhere to Title IX ****. I doubt it will work for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the economy. The various academic centers and "practice facilities" which are emerging on campuses are coming under some scrutiny, but will likely be allowed to continue as some of the budget gets funneled into the academic affairs side for broader tutoring programs. Faculty hush money.
