All it was was an over-hyped party with long drink lines, weak drinks, and no food. Basically 2500 people payed $100 dollars apiece to be miserable all night. BIG TIME payday to the Ole Miss Alumni that threw the party.

I did New Years Eve in Nashville in the mid aughts. I can tell you it is my second favorite NYE next to New Orleans. There was not even a football game when i was there but Broadway was awesome. I dont know if they still do it but they sheriffs rented out charter buses and would take you home anywhere in the county

Were there really 2500 people that paid to do that? That's $250,000! I imagine you can throw an incredible party for 50k. They made out incredible if they collected that kinda cash. I know a couple of the guys involved, and while good guys, they are indeed OM alums and at least one bashes MSU every chance he gets. It would be cool if some State guys did it and donated the proceeds (or at least a portion) to the Bulldog Club.
