There is a pretty cool old time BBQ joint in Pheba but it is hit or miss whether or not it is open? I think it is open on the 1st weekend of the month and perhaps the 15th of the month? Ms. Creesee is a really old gal who ran/runs the place. The sauce is heavy black pepper and vinegar. ummmmmmmmm.
If that little gas station on the corner of 50 and 389 is your reference point, the bbq place is about 1/2 a mile to the SE.
There used to be some place that sold steaks, yes steaks, out of a little shed, kind of like the snow cone places like Cajun Ice, Snow Biz, etc.....in Starkville. That place has long since closed. Imagine that business model not working?
