reading all the posts from people who are attempting to sell their Egg Bowl tickets mostly probably because of the rain I was reminded of this story. My dad and I went on a number of fishing trips when I was growing up. I loved it. Often, we would get up at 3 in the morning to make the 3 hour trip to our favorite fishing hole in the MS Delta. As I got older I began to watch the weather forecast and at times would start to worry that Dad would decide to cancel the trip. I will never forget the time my dad told me this: "Son, there is one thing you need to learn....fish bite better in the rain". Fast forward to the "snow bowl" and I am there with my young son. When the weather conditions started to get quite bad and many folks began to leave around halftime my son looked at me and asked with a somewhat worried look on his face, "Dad, are we going to leave, too?". Right then and there I thought about what my dad had told me years earlier. My answer: "Son, we are here until the bitter end". Do I need to say more?
