Is this team going to qualify for a bowl game this year?

I looked at the schedule and doesn't look like it from today's vantage point. Maybe MSU possibly Rutgers a win?

Unbelievable. I have a response based on going thru this watching the 2000 season.

We'll be favored in 3 of the 5 remaining games (bigger favorite over MSU/Rutgers, < TD favorite over Nebraska, maybe just under a TD underdog against Indiana, big dog against OSU). 6 wins is the most likely outcome to me, but it'll likely be really close.

Bowl money is shared. Not losing anything
I just don't know why anyone cares about bowl games but if we win 6 we have to go...very possible even at 5-7.
Big Ten divides bowl money equally among all teams, even those that are home for the holidays. The only way a team makes money is if its expense allowance from the Big Ten exceeds the cost of travel, lodging, meals, incidentals, entertainment, etc. for the team, coaches, staff, band and the presidential entourage (Bendatpudi don't go cheap and she don't go alone). School can also make money from selling its ticket allotment, but I'd bet Penn State winds up eating most of its.

Which is why losing out isn't a bad thing but they're still making money

Emotion says 3-2 to finish. Logic says 2-3. Neb game is at home which could be in front of a much smaller crowd than anticipated

After the 2021 season, PSU went to the Outback Bowl. It took in just over $2 million from the Big Ten (expense allowance) and ticket sales. Bo;wl expenses were nearly $2.8 million. If that's your idea of "making money" I hope you don't run your own business.

Why would I run a business? If you don't think the football program is making money then I don't know what to tell you

3-6 is close to a 100% guarantee.

How likely is 3-9, 4-8, or 5-7 vs 6-6?
