We're ignorant?

The same TV station later described "the Louisiana-Alabama border". They also posted a graphic that said a reporter was in Mobile Bay, MS.

Better re-think who is ignorant.

Oooh....look at the strong retort.

A. I never said weathermen/women weren't ignorant. I said that, in this "land mass" matter, Mississippians are being the arrogant/ignorant ones.

B. Not only were we being ignorant, it was a hoax and never even happened.

C. The Alabama-Louisiana border? I assume you are referring to this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkHdKO2xub4&feature=player_embedded ... from The Weather Network in Canada. Credit to them for getting the general vicinity of Louisiana and Alabama correct. Hey, clearly we have people in our own state that don't even know where our borders are.

That ******* thing is still just sitting on New Orleans. Been getting gusts up here in Baton Rouge, 20-40mph gusts, but little else.

Never got real bad here....

We lost power for about 48 minutes. (Disclaimer: I am riding this thing out in the French Quarter).

Winds have been consistent and strong for about 36 hours straight but nothing I haven't been through before. About 9 inches of rainfall in last 30 hrs. per my rain guage.

Most of residential New Orleans has been without power since 9 pm yesterday, the 28th (Tuesday). FQ has mostly underground power lines. Cable has been out since noon here, but HD antenna has been picking up local broadcast all day.

Still raining at the moment. Ready for some 17ing football.
