Just saw an article on the rivals basketball recruiting website.

Interview with Stewart... he said he pretty much knew where he wanted to go so it's a matter of figuring out when/how to announce, setting a date, etc.

I'm thinking it's us gents!

Yeah, supposedly the team he is choosing has already been informed he's coming and video done. He could announce while at his next tournament from the 17th-21st. I can tell you right now, don't count out Washington. A lot of chatter out at this moment. Could be to keep up the suspense. That group chat has been going on well before Carey announced. As of right now, if I was a betting man, I say Duke.

There’s a few on here who have dropped subtle hints from time to time. I’m not one of them, but feel pretty good based on the general vibe of some.

You and me both. I'll know it has been looking great for Duke for a little while. Should know more later this morning.

Man he keeps saying soon. Hope he decides before Jan 19th when hurt visits duke. Seems like uw has the most buzz. And he has the best relationship with Hopkins.

His decision may come during his next tournament from the 17-21st. He stated he's trying to find the right time to announce. Talks about it being a life changing decision.
Unless something changes from what I'm seeing, I will stick with Duke.

I just can't see him at Duke with him not knowing Bolden future.
3. White/baker
4. Ver/jrob
5. Bolden/jav
I know jrob doesn't get a lot of burn but he might as a red shirt senior. I know k plays the best players players but that's a lot of mouths to feed. Unless they told him for sure Bolden won't be back.

I really want Stewart, he's a dominant rebounder, probably will be as good as any we have ever had at Duke.
However...IMO, if we land Stewart, than I think that means he is aware Bolden is leaving. I just can't see Stewart choosing us knowing we would have Vernon, Bolden, Jack, and Javin.
Bolden wouldn't be transferring, he would be choosing to begin his Pro career a year early. He is gonna get NBA looks, some mocks even have him as a late 2nd rounder. I wouldn't be shocked if he's on an NBA roster next year.

Gotta love RR. If a recruit chooses UK then it’s on the up and up but if that recruit chooses Duke then something shady/dirty went down. lol
Lmao, yeah I saw that. They truly need help. Something is terrible wrong with them. Every board has their few, but at RR is Inna league of their own, closely followed by the special bunch on IC.

The best thing is how they create threads to complain about there being so many Duke threads. Surprisingly there’s only one thread about Duke on the first page on RR. There’s usually several and I’ve seen as many as 6-7 threads on the first page over there.
This, and have nerve to complain about all the attention duke gets, but yet they constantly making treads about Duke.

A lot of steam with Stewart to Washington flowing in pretty good right now. Starting to look like the Zion to Clemson situation.

They raised the rent on Duke living in their head. That’s the only reason the amount of threads decreased. We ran out vouchers for free dentures and cousin/wives, which are the only forms of payment they accept.

I think Zion loved Clemson. It is/was his childhood favorite growing up. But Duke was a much better situation for Z from a hoops perspective. UW might be the same. He "loves" the coach at UW. But he'll be on TV every game at Duke, playing in big games in a tough conference. The Pac 10 is a dumpster fire, and he won't be on TV.

Meyer with a cb pick for uw
I'm not sure if Meyer really knows or going off Brian Snow thinking it's Washington based on a recent interview with Stewart. Corey Evan seems to think it's a 3 horse race. If you are going off 247 guys pick, then wait for Evan Daniels. He usually knows and have a article up after the announcement. Once the announcement date is set, the guessing will go out the window among the people who is close to the situation.

Stewart and his camp took Zion's approach where nobody clearly knows at this point. He has shut down all communication. Even with the Snow interview, it's still not anything in it to make you lean one way or the other. Supposedly the team that got him knows, but even now that has been walked back.

Washington thinks they are getting McDaniels, so their thinking is him with Stewart and Quade Green. He may not want all the attention Duke gets. We definitely saw this before.

Based on the evaluations I've seen of Stewart, and his interviews (tone obviously doesn't translate in print), Stewart doesn't seem to be a shrinking violet. I think he welcomes the attention.
.
Over the last 10 years or so, K and the staff have realized that some players don't like the attention (or, at least, the TONE of the attention) that Duke gets. By the time Duke is seriously involved with a player, to the point where we are one of the finalists for that player, the staff has established that he'll be ok with the attention, and that he welcomes it.

I agree. I just mentioned it because some are wired that way. Duke is on every sports outlet known. With Stewart, it's just so hard to read right now from everybody. I'm going with Duke unitl something different comes out. Only thing I could see for not coming has more to do with the people in his corner from his his school coaches to his immediate family. Just my take right now.

Zion's Mom was all in for Duke. But she did that because she thought it was in Zion's best basketball interest to attend Duke.
.
People around IS want him to attend UW because it is in the best interests of UW's coach.
.
Something I've seen, a lot, is how many recruits see their thinking evolve as the recruiting process goes on. Early in their career, most only dream of playing in college on scholarship. That is because, from their POV, recruiting rankings seem made up. A top 10 sophomore routinely gets destroyed by top 150 seniors. So, while the outside world sees at top 10 underclassmen, he sees a whole bunch of dudes that eat his lunch every time out. It isn't until the end of their Jr years that a lot of these kids truly realize that they can and will play in the pros. Some guys, like Vernon Carey, or RJ, probably realize earlier than most that they can be pros. Guys like Stewart fall into that group that realizes late in their career that it is, in fact, a CAREER. As such, he's begun to treat it like a career. And that means choosing a college that can help with that.
.
That is why Duke is so successful with guys that are doing well in the NBA right now. Duke presents itself as a place that will help them prepare to succeed in the pros.
.
Stewart was probably very impressed with K on the visit.

I don't get why he'd pick uw. No exposure and there losing Like 5 seniors who contribute and they play zone that can't help you in the nba.
