I agree. I just mentioned it because some are wired that way. Duke is on every sports outlet known. With Stewart, it's just so hard to read right now from everybody. I'm going with Duke unitl something different comes out. Only thing I could see for not coming has more to do with the people in his corner from his his school coaches to his immediate family. Just my take right now.
Zion's Mom was all in for Duke. But she did that because she thought it was in Zion's best basketball interest to attend Duke.
.
People around IS want him to attend UW because it is in the best interests of UW's coach.
.
Something I've seen, a lot, is how many recruits see their thinking evolve as the recruiting process goes on. Early in their career, most only dream of playing in college on scholarship. That is because, from their POV, recruiting rankings seem made up. A top 10 sophomore routinely gets destroyed by top 150 seniors. So, while the outside world sees at top 10 underclassmen, he sees a whole bunch of dudes that eat his lunch every time out. It isn't until the end of their Jr years that a lot of these kids truly realize that they can and will play in the pros. Some guys, like Vernon Carey, or RJ, probably realize earlier than most that they can be pros. Guys like Stewart fall into that group that realizes late in their career that it is, in fact, a CAREER. As such, he's begun to treat it like a career. And that means choosing a college that can help with that.
.
That is why Duke is so successful with guys that are doing well in the NBA right now. Duke presents itself as a place that will help them prepare to succeed in the pros.
.
Stewart was probably very impressed with K on the visit.
