Ik dumb me. Lowe is so much better. Maybe he can cheer so loud from the bench that he makes the team play harder. Briscoe wouldn’t be able to handle the college game anyway. Needs to stick to dominating retired pros.

I think that was blown a little out of proportion. He did it more than most players I reckon. He made plays happen a lot more than he stepped on the baseline.
Him and Archie Goodwin always got crapped on from the fanbase when both put their head down and gave it their all. Were actually good players. That’s back when we still had standards so the players were judged on a different scale. Both would wipe there *** with any guard we’ve had in years.

As long as Mitch Barnhart is in control none of these things will happen even if it’s allowed. Don’t know what it takes to see this, Mitch doesn’t want elite football and basketball teams, especially basketball. He’s in a position where he’s lowered the bar for our major sports and the last thing he wants is to make an apathetic base rowdy again. Took him 20 years to get us to buy in to hires like Pope. 20 years ago he would have been fired for it.
So nothing that gives us an edge or makes us elite will happen as long as he’s in control. It’s why he didn’t want Calipari here but that was forced.
He’s looking for “go team” and “root for the letterman” and pay the money for cheer!! Focus on nostalgia and love of university! While he has some business deals to tend to with kickbacks. Pay no attention to anything but go team.

I personally loved IB while he was at UK. He was one of my favorite guards to play here during the Cal era. He was overshadowed by Wall definitely though so I think people discount his abilities.
No Mitch isn’t good at his job because his job isn’t to be good at winning in major sports. His job has never been about maintaining Kentucky at the top of college basketball. He’s basically said this in several ways. Mitch has had the basketball program taken out of his hands several times in the past due to a tug of war.
