Been a fun season so far and I appreciate our team, coaches, effort and high rankings. But it’s about to get real. The upcoming games against WKU, Michigan and Texas Tech will be informative. This will be a tough stretch and I believe we have the team to handle it. No matter the outcome of these games, we will learn, harden and grow over the next few weeks. Time to let these Birds fly!!!!

I think Akron was a real good team and time will show that, the thing we need to work on most is our defense and how to finish a game. We can’t keep taking our foot off the gas and that goes for the coaches as well. The pack defense is good if you are facing a team that can’t hit shots from the outside. If your opponent is hitting shots you need to be able to extend the defense which I haven’t seen us able to do that. I like our team and I do think we are one of the best teams in the country but there is a lot of improvements needed.

It seems to me the overall team speed is a little slow. Perry is the fastest player but he seems to negate some of that by being a little laid back. I would isolate Perry more on offense to get him in the flow and give Kimbell’s minutes to DJ. After Akron got in our crawl defensively the 2nd half and we didn’t meet the challenge I look for WKU to play very intense defense right out of the gate Friday.

I haven't seen anything from this team that makes me believe they're better than any other team in the top 25 or so.

We'll see how it goes. They're certainly going to take their lumps when they hit the big boy schedule.

I disagree. I've watched more than just a few teams play so far this year and the one thing this team (right now) does better than any that I've seen is shoot. These kids can flat out shoot the rock! That could change once the competition is stronger. We'll learn a lot in the next 3 games.

Until I see how our bigs compare to some good post players I remain neutral on our ranking. Wasn’t the Ohio St guy that went off a big or am I mistaken?

Ohio St. might just be the best team in the country. People underated them and i do believe one of their better players is out hurt.

Wasn't Enoch out for the Ohio St. scrimmage ? Williams definitely was. But I agree that we need to see how the team does against better competition.
