Been going to duals at Carver since 94, that was by far and away the biggest load of crap and uninterested I’ve ever seen an Iowa team. Iowa needs some new blood, you can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results. Losing to Penn state because you are not better is one thing but to wrestle an entire dual without ever trying to win a match is where I draw the line. It was freaking pathetic! Your two highest decorated wrestlers had zero takedowns. That says it all.

brands had two good runs at Iowa, they weren’t able to sustain the success this time around and they just never seem to adapt to the environment. You had a good run, it’s time to hang it up. Iowa needs new blood.

If I may pry a little, you didn't really say any changes that need to be made. I have a really hard time believing it's resource related, but I'm not connected with the Hawkeyes so I defer to your opinion on that. The ethics thing is fairly vague and seems like a one size fits all type of "excuse". But again, I don't know enough to have a solid opinion either way on the ethics of either program. I just am genuinely curious what the changes are that the current staff could implement to turn it around.

Lastly: Don't you think that "much larger change " was brought about by the excitement gained vis hiring Taylor? Is it not possible for a similar level of reinvigoration and culture changing to happen at Iowa with a new staff? Is it possible that the current long term staff could do it themselves?

Horsesh*t. Taylor is year 1 was immediate impact because if Taylor. Plott and Hendrickson at NCAA, coaching Valencia to a world championship, and landing Jaxx Forest. Those impact moves are how Cael got rolling, I see Taylor doing similar.

The other NJ kid, don't know full story, but it NEVER seemed IOWA even was IN the conversation???? Now he may have only wanted to stay home, but....????

The delusion in that post is crazy. Iowa has already lost to Ohio State, Iowa State, Penn State, maybe Nebraska, and Ohio State twice this year. Iowa has no style to speak of—can’t get takedowns, can’t get out from bottom, can’t ride.

They’re trying to plug holes with transfers, but that ignores the bigger problem: recruiting hasn’t been successful for years. Sure, it’s great to land a top recruit in one or two weights, but the rest of your lineup can’t be below average.

Real Woods and Gilman left and got better. Ramos and Metcalf how did they fare?

WE have been over this ALREADY, but..... It is a GIFT!!! I have taken ADVANCED courses and have been a TOP writer for several webpages!!! Thee idea is to HIGHLIGHT and/or EMPHASIZE certain important points! For example OLD skool writing class, I remember the professor talking about BUSINESS LETTERS.

When writing to say Ford Motor Company about say a RECALL. You would capitalize RECALL and maybe it is a SAFETY RECALL. This is to get the person reading it, FULL ATTENTION to the matter!!!!
