to match last seasons record. Some of those folks need to check their basements for lead pipes or something.

.....I don't see anymore wins. Bama should be a loss, and I think Arkansas has gotten better to the point that they can beat us. I don't think we'll win at OM, especially if it means bowl eligibility for them.

MSU is now probably right in the sights of a Get our dignity back game. KY will come to play. I dunno. there may be a florida whoopin hangover still among them.

and be enough to keep Croom's job. Especially since we will have a loss to LaTech that kept us from 6-6. The fact is with Aub's team this schedule could have produced 7 wins easily with a good coach.

MAYBE beat KY to make it to 4. but then what else? Alabama is going to show out on us.. Arkansas has enough offense to put the points that we cant on an SEC defense.... and UM is playing much better than Croom's bunch is.

I'm saying MSU won it's last game of the season tonight. That is just my feeling.</p>

But I don't see Croom going anywhere after this season even if we lose out (we'll probably find a way to win one more game anyway). I thought that even before the MTSU game. The only way he goes is if Byrne demands that Croom fire McCorvery and others and Croom gets stubborn about it and falls on his own sword. Even then, I think Croom will make some changes to keep his job - he's not going to just give up his gig that quickly.

I don't see Byrne being bold enough to outright fire him. Not this year, anyway.

so I'll stick with 5-7. UM, Ark, UK are all teams without more talent than us, so I think we win 2 of them. Since this team has played so badly on the road UM will most likely be the loss.

.....thing we can realistically hope for right now is the hiring of a real, proven OC who Crxxm vows to leave alone and let him do his job(Greggy Byrne, this is where the threat of a pink slip comes in). And I'm excluding Al Borges from that list. We need someone a little more "fresh" than that. And I don't care what our record ends up being this year, even if by some miracle we pull put 6 wins. We STILL need the OC change damn it.

One thing I'll state confidently right now. If we don't at least make the OC change, I won't even bother following our next football season. I won't waste my time watching, listening, or posting about any of the games. It's just not worth the time and frustration anymore as long as the same exact staff is running the show.

"Burning" one kid's redshirt, giving him 4 years to compete rather than 5, is, statistically, in the context of the number of player-years available to a football team, insignificant."

5 years of an offense ranked 100th or worse will result in an OC change this year. I don't see Croom being so stubborn that he would hang onto Woody - he's not that stupid.

The part you mention about Croom vowing to leave the offense alone w/the new OC could make for an interesting drama next year. I just can't see him doing that, threat of being fired be damned.

Well, if he can't bring himself to leave it alone, and we suck *** again next year because of our offense, then he'll be fired after next season. Either way, in my book it's a win-win.

Not so fast my friend. I don't think we know just how stupid he is.
