From posts on this board that some (many) have no, none, nad, zip, zilch, knowledge of JWS' actual ncaa record prior to joining MSU. Dr. Donald Zacharias, MSU President at the time, took the time, made the effort, to call the ncaa to check. Despite all you heard about his A&M problems the ncaa had absolutely nothing on Jackie. This was not hearsay; this was directly from Don to me. I know that on this board you will believe what you want to, and I know I am probably wasting my time even trying to set the record straight but I get so aggravated with those who continue to speak ill of Jackie. And for that matter will anyone post what the ncaa had/has on Jackie while at MSU. Not allegations mind you but evidence. I am not posting this to get into a shouting match so don't bother.

The NCAA having nothing on him and what actually went on could be two different things, you know.

In addition, we saw what eventually happened under Jackie's watch. Probation. Twice. And we were lucky the second one wasn't worse. Damn lucky.

In other words, go back into your cave and defend that worthless piece of excrement somewhere else. HE is the reason we are still in this effing mess we're in.

Jackie is the reason for our miseries. He got us into a good team and then threw us in the trash.</p>

but the black cloud that surrounded him after Texas A&M made it hard for anyone to hire him. We took a gamble and it worked out until 2001.

Please remember, OJ is innocent in a court of a law. I am not saying that Sherrill necessarily did anything wrong but once your story goes to the paper, the public will make a decision regardless of what the NCAA says.
