Good idea probably, leaves him less time to fool with the offense. And while we are in the fourth year, we are only one sixth of the way into it, I like the idea of reversing the trend of fast starts and slow finishes, LOL.

and he is just now getting more involved in the Defense. I don't buy into what stoops is selling with that one. Making Elliot a scape goat even though they both are over their heads.

was Stoops in over his head at Florida State? Or does that just magically happen at UK?

With your kind of thinking, me being a E5 in the military and having some leadership position automatically qualifies me to be the admiral. Sounds silly when you put a real life connection to it. Not all good coordinators are good Head coaches.

Still coaching like he has Fla St talent, hasn't or won't adjust to the talent level he recruits ! Mark of a good coach is scheme to give your players the best chance to win, not what's your favorite plan!

I thought the same thing actually. Why now? is it perhaps because we are going into play a poor opponent of which we might actually perform well. Why not say something going into the Florida game after giving up 34 consecutive points to lose the home opener. I mean its not as if Florida was an offensive Juggernaut (against anyone not named UK that is).

Have to believe being a defensive guy he obviously has had some roll in there as it is anyway. He presumably has stuck his nose in our offense enough that's for sure. Still find it funny that we put up 35 points in one half (but too quickly to the detriment of the defense) and we haven't scored since ( I don't count the cheap score against floridas cheerleaders)

I find it hard to believe that Stoops would micromanage the offense and not touch the defense, considering he is a defensive guy. And if he truly has done nothing but work on the offense and left the defense to Eliot, it speaks volumes about his ability to coach offense, which has sucked immensely.

These are just comments to save grace. Eliot's scheme has Stoops' fingerprints all over it.
