It will mean one less body to take carries away from Bolden.
For whatever reason, we keep feeding ole En-ricky. Bolden is better. I prefer Bolden with a mix of Jeff Scott for the speed back and then maybe some 2nd half work for Rodney Scott and En-ricky to spell someone for a few carries.
Lockett's injury really sucks for us and for him. The good news is he'll have the option of a medical redshirt if he feels he needs to come back next year.
On Johnny Brown, I could've sworn I saw him on the field after he hurt his knee. Either I was out of my mind (a distinct possibility) or he made it worse playing on it.
We've got quite a few freshmen seeing significant action in the secondary right now (Crawford, Sawyer, Grimes, Matthews), and Damien Jackson is a Juco transfer, so we have a lot of guys in the secondary playing their first full season of college football.
I'll bet we see a decent amount of improvement as the year goes on because of the youth on the field, primarily in the secondary and on the OL. How much improvement is the question. After Saturday, I'd say we still have a decent shot at 5 wins and an outside shot at 6. If we can get to 6, I'd consider that a great season given the start and the circumstances. We have to win Saturday though. UK is very beatable. We just have to show up.
