I wonder what the players who followed Cal think about this victory.
Had only won what, 2 out of the last 11 against Duke? Anyone know Cal's record against Duke?

CCC loses this game by 20. I got so burnt out by coaching mistakes and no adjustments

There is no doubt. After the end of the first half that Duke run he would have collapsed. We would have come out and cut it to 5 or so at the 17:00 mark and by 10 minutes left in the game we would be down 15 again.
Pope is now 3 wins 2 losses vs Duke. Think about that he was 2 and 2 before tonight against Duke coaching at Utah Valley state and Byu.
You know it burns his *** because he hasn’t been able to do it and has been owned like a ***** the last 7 years of the Champions Classic.
The PTSD was strong. Cal team would have bricked 5-10 straight shots and looked terrible
He’s also the smartest guy in the room.
Maybe Cal is the MVP tonight for leaving.
I'm not sure where you got that stat but it's not correct. I went back through each season and he's only played Duke once before, while at Utah Valley, and he lost by 30. So he's 1-1 now, but he won the one that mattered.
1-3. Loss in 2013, win in 2015, loss in 2018, loss in 2021.
Who cares. I only care what the fans think, including myself, Pope and these players. That's what matters. Not Cow.

Must be. But I don't think UK played Duke in Pope's UK playing career. And I highly doubt Washington played them 4 times in 2 years.
I must have heard wrong. But he clearly mentioned I'm 3 and 2 against them now. He did say "Them" I just automatically thought he was referring to Duke.
Anyway we know he won the one that counted last night.

OMG, DJ Wagner would've shot us out of the game. Brick, brick, brick, missed layup. So glad we didn't have to watch that crap this year.
I am still having flashbacks of the KU game that we could have won if he had deferred to Reed.
